I broke up with my ex last week after countless days of me trying to "fix" whatever new problem he had managed to find in our relationship.

His mental health problems had completely overwhelmed our relationship and not only was he trying to make me a therapist he also completely lost respect for me in the process.

There were red flags at the start of our relationship (2 Years ago) and honestly I ignored them just because I needed something new and somewhere else to be in that period of my life.

I've enjoyed quarantine with him for the most part. Just having someone to help me move stuff around (I've been looking after family) and do the boring mundane has been amazing. I was happily plodding along until.

He told me he was going to visit friends so he could "talk about me. And he couldn't do that if I was there. "

He then left when I was getting him a key cut (he says he forgot that's what I was doing. I really don't believe it.)

Honestly. He still wanted to leave all his stuff at my house. I packed it all and took it to his mothers so he could just come and go as he pleased. Fuck that.

I don't really know what I'm asking for here. Apart from maybe some love. Some support to know that I've done the correct thing kicking him to the curb.

I feel uneasy due to the pandemic and I'm not particularly looking forward to it on my own but his behaviour has become not only emotionally draining but manipulative and abusive.

I've still got all the hormones/withdrawal/heart ow going on. I've started taking aspirin and treating it like a physical malady for the most part. That's helping.

(I've read the handbook. And will reread.)
