I was thinking about the "coMMuniCatE wiTH hiM" trope today and it got me thinking about how men preach this to us, but most of them communicate the absolute minimum amount possible about their actual life, feelings, etc. When they get caught doing something they don't "communicate", they lie and deny.

Any decent human being by default knows that trust and communication are important. It shouldn't have to be said, right? If a guy mentions these buzz words too often it's probably because he lost another woman's trust by getting caught doing something in the past and is trying to set himself up to play you better than he played her. No guy talks more about trust than a guy who's cheating.

What I recommend is to communicate less, not more. Women already communicate more by default. Keep some thoughts about him (and about you/your life!) to yourself. This is similar to the "Dumb Fox" concept which you can search for if you're unfamiliar. If you see something suspicious and choose not to leave, keep it to yourself or he will work harder to cover his tracks before you see who he really is.
