Dear all,

I have been on many coffee dates, some but not all accompanied by other activities such as museum visits for example. Men have more often than not offered to go for dinner etc., but I instantly reject these proposals because I have serious food allergies and therefore unable to pretty much go out to eat anywhere.

I usually use coffee dates to gauge in person whether I like them and actually want to tell these persons about my allergies to see how they react. I am seeking advice on other approaches (or would coffee dates always be acceptable with some sort of other activity?) I am not necessarily insecure about my food allergies in my day-to-day life, do you ladies feel I should be upfront from the absolute start? It is quite personal and I understand that it could be a dealbreaker, which I believe has made me a bit insecure about dating.
