Breif summery of her situation: Emily dated a scrote over a decade ago. She and he broke up and then had what she calls a "flirtationship" for a while. During that time she was an addict to strong illegal drugs, and one day while she was in and out of consciousness, he raped her. Sometime later, their relationship ends. She starts trying to get her life in order, but is constantly harassed by this guy, resulting in her getting fired, usually by her ex using nudes of her that he had hacked into her accounts to get (2 of which are her as a minor). She eventually moves to another state in hopes that it would deter him. Sometime later she starts her channel, one of her videos goes "mini viral" and she is getting harassed by more accounts, using similar language to her ex. Then her ex's girlfriend gets in on the harassing, probably goaded on by the guy. The girlfriend starts her own YouTube channel and starts out making videos with similar titles to Emily. She ends up gaining a large following as well, and eventually gets exposed for using a sock account on lolcow to bash so many of her friends, including Emily. And Emily then comes out with a video about how that girl and her, at that point, husband were both harassing Emily. She provides so much proof, and then provides more in subsequent videos. And Emily admits she was concerned for her husband's, children's, and her own safety. Worrying that this ex was going to try to harass them too.

Ok, that's the brief situation she was in. What can we learn from this?

  1. NVM/LVM are petty and vindictive. They can and likely will stalk you if they want. Even if they broke off the relationship.

  2. NVM will use any nudes they can get of you against you.

  3. They are so vindictive that they will stalk and harass for as long as they can. If it's solely online it's difficult to prove if you haven't been screenshotting literally everything.

  4. NVM will get their new partner to harass you as well to prove she loves him or that she is better than you. They tend to only go for pickmes.

  5. A NVM can absolutely keep you in fear for years, decades even, likely up until they die. They will do anything to make you paranoid and constantly on guard.

  6. They will try the hardest they can to ruin your life if you cross them. Including trying to harass you into suicide when they know you're vulnerable.

  7. THESE KINDS OF THINGS ARE WHY WE VET VET VET AND NEVER GIVE SOMEONE WHO HAS YET TO PASS THE VETTING STAGE OUR PERSONAL INFO. NVM and the pickmes they get with can make your life a living hell. The moment you see any red flags, run, block, delete.

And this isn't even the worst stuff a NVM can do to a woman. If he had wanted to, he could have beat or murdered her the night he violated her. Men who lurk here: we aren't careful and paranoid about you fuckers without cause for the concern. We are in constant danger because of scrotes who see us as a commodity and an object to be owned. We risk death with every date, every time we turn down a random guy on the streets, anytime we stand up to a man about how we are treated, and everytime we end a relationship with a man. And everytime we get in our car, get out of the car, go into or out of a store, walking around a store can grab the attention of another guy who will either try to kidnap us or stalk us, having steady employment where men also work can lead to sexual harassment or yet another stalker or obsessed neckbeard. Even if you never know a scrote has "fallen madly in love with you" (aka fans off to you every chance he can get), they often consider you their property and can get extremely enraged if you flirt with a guy you are actually into or if they learn you are already in a relationship.
