In my experience, they think they are over their past relationship when it is clear to us they aren’t. Therefore, talking to them about it is pointless. They will say “oh I’m over her” then talk about her five minutes later, completely oblivious.

He is not over his ex, not ready for dating and should not be dating. I would say to end it. Like they may be a good or great person, but they’re still not ready for a relationship and will be really shit at relationships because of that.

Tbh ending things with someone who isn’t over their ex is pretty common dating advice, it’s definitely common advice on FDS. Stop making excuses.

Nope out OP. He isn't over it. Best case scesnrio....he is still in love with her and not over it and using you as a free therapist.

Worst case scenario....he is angry at her and you will become a stand in for his anger. And a free therapist.

No matter what, you lose with this MAN.

Next time he brings her up, send him a clown emoji and BLOCK AND DELETE.

Definitely drop him like a bad habit.

You should be on the forefront of this guy's mind if he's talking to you. He is either doing this because he's not over her or to make YOU want to live up to standards ("My ex was so hot and fit!")

Either explanation is sinister. 🚮
