Unless you’re in a serious relationship for a WHILE, don’t bother buying a gift.

In fact, I would say at MOST just bake a few lil cupcakes. Or, bake a big batch for your family and friends, and then take like a small handful and wrap ‘em in plastic wrap and hand him them.

It’s still a sweet gift (literally, he he) without seeming like you’re trying too hard. Once you spend physical money on a gift (be it a gift card, pants, mittens, whatever) especially on such a short-term “relationship”, your value decreases in his eyes.

And mention: “I baked a bunch of these awesome treats for my family and close friends, and brought you a few! :)”

3 weeks is way too early for anything special. I agree with /u/missrex on that. Some people really like giving gifts though, and would never fail to give the woman they're interested in a gift, so he might get you one. In that case, you could have a small gift ready. I again agree with missrex: a Starbucks gift card or something, for 10 dollars at most.

Most important part: do not give it to him if he doesn't give you a gift first. If he doesn't give you a gift first you can just never tell him about the gift card, and use it for yourself instead.

Do you typically celebrate Christmas? Does he? A special dish/treat to share is more than enough regardless of your answer.
