I’m new to FDS and have been reading up on some things. I was born and raised in NYC and I’m 24, just so you can all get an idea of the dating range.

I’ve been single for two years. I’ve had two serious relationships in my life; the first one my ex cheated on me and got another woman pregnant, the second one I was physically abused and cheated on and he wouldn’t let me go.

I’ve been single for two years now since being out of my abusive relationship. I’m very comfortable and live myself and think I’m ready to start dating seriously again. One problem tho; every man I meet lies about being single.

I’ve tried dating sites, friends of friends, meet ups, etc. It’s always the same; we hit it off, talk for a few weeks/months, things build up, and then I find out through her reaching out that he’s not single. And then I snoop on social media some more, or she sends proof. I’ve never had a negative interaction with these women, and I’ve always dubbed the men right away and never looked back.

Any advice for me?
