How do I stop caring for an lvm

I don't want to give it Time, I'm impatient

Nobody wants to give it time. Nobody ever thinks, "Oh yes, I want to spend more time in pain. That sounds great!"

That doesn't mean they're wrong to say to give it time.

You can't ask a question and then be like, "Oh, but if the answer is the thing I don't want to hear, don't say that."

The answer is what it is - whether you want that answer or not.

That's me giving it to you straight.

But on a happier note, time WILL fix this even though you hate hearing that platitude right now. (A lot of platitudes are platitudes because they're true. This is one of those cases.)

And once time has fixed it, you'll be in a better, wiser position to protect your heart in the future. And you'll wonder what you ever liked about that guy anyway. Even though you'll remember the technical details of what you felt and why, you will no longer identify with them. You'll be able to think about all the ways he was shitty and therefore train yourself to find those shitty things unattractive from the start. After all, we all think fire is pretty the first time we see it when we're little, but once we burn ourselves on something we acquire a visceral response that tells us, "Jesus Christ, don't put your fucking hand near that," even IF it still looks nice to us. Our awareness of how dangerous it is overpowers our desire to reach for what we find pretty. And fire is a lot prettier than shitty men - but we still don't touch it. We know better.

You will reach a point where you can arrive at that visceral need to keep distance from bad men, too.

Have a hug. You'll be okay.

Allow yourself time to feel like a dunce even though you are NOT. People always feel bad then beat themselves up for feeling bad. You're human. You are allowed to make mistakes and take some risks once the pain dulls a bit you can use the experience to learn from.

These things take time. Every human being experiences this, and there isn't any set time limit, or "acceptable" frame for this stuff. i get over this kinda stuff fast, my older brother spent half a year depressed after he and his ex split. You're human, just take steps to make YOURSELF feel good

It just sucks. You gotta sit with the suck. Later, it will suck less. Then a thought of him will cross your mind and you’ll realize you hadn’t been thinking about him. Then you’ll forget about him. For real.
