How many men mention their gf or wives when talking with you?

I’ve asked a similar question before on another sub and got roasted to hell. I work in a professional environment where personal lives aren’t discussed much and I rarely see the same people even monthly. I’ve noticed that men always mention their wives or girlfriends, even when it has nothing to do with anything. I internalized it that these idiots think I’m flirting with them since I’m nice, and I’ve pretty much shut down any kind of interaction with men in my line of work, like barely make eye contact. I could be wrong. In fact, I was told by numerous fellow redditors that I was crazy and it had nothing to do with me and I should get over myself.

Oh and to directly address your question, I am almost always wearing a dress and heels.

It's very rare for men to mention their gf's or wives to me unless they're bitching about them (which I shut down instantly). I work with this one great guy who is always talking about his wife and how proud he is of her doing her master's, what a wonderful mom she is, hpw beautiful she is, etc. But EVERY woman in my office took note of him, because what he's doing is so rare! Yet pretty much every coupled woman mentions her husband/bf on the daily (as you do when you share an entire life with someone).

Hmm. I've never noticed a correlation based on how I'm dressed.

I think it's also hard to sort this out since there are so many ways a man could mention his gf or wife. Off the top of my head:

He's mentioning her because he's so fucking crazy about her that he loves telling people about her. (This is always so adorable. One of my friends has a husband who still, after 25 years, can't shut up about her. It's so sweet.)
If he and I (and the other women in the group, if we're in a group) are friends and he wants advice. ("So how do I figure out what my girlfriend wants for Christmas without being too obvious?")
He's just mentioning her in a practical way. ("I'm taking off work on Thursday and Friday because my wife and I are heading to a family reunion.")
He's mentioning her in a shitty, cheatery way. ("My wife is so cold to me... I haven't felt loved in a long time.")

All those mentions arise for entirely different reasons, and I'm sure lack of mentioning one's wife/gf also happens for a variety of reasons, so it's hard to isolate what the factors are when men do or don't mention their wives.

Of course, there are the times when men purposely refrain from mentioning their wives for cheatery reasons. I haven't noticed that correlating with my clothing though.

When I traveled in Australia then me and my friend went out one night and got to know one group of friends. They were all men or at least after who came to afterparty to one guys place. It was nice, fun company and talked about different things. Finally topic went relationships and one quite handsome guy told how he is single and have been single for ten years. I was a little bit suprised that how cone this man has been single for that long. Later at night this same man kissed me and I had absolutely no idea he had some interest in me. But after that we left and of course we never met again, but I found his facebook and surprise surprise this d*ckhead was married and his wife was trop dead gorgeous!! And they...looked happy. And I was sooo mad about that man being such a douchebag :((( even though I never saw him. But how they can be so cold hearted 😒
