HVM are made in the home. I am, hopefully, raising 3 young men who will grow to earn a HVW. For fellow mommas out there, it start with you.

Last night, we talked about George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Trayvon Martin, Internment camps of Japanese Americans, Nazis and much more. We discussed their own privilege as white men and that they do not have to worry about jogging down the road. L(9) cried not understanding how someone can just be killed. P(11) was mad and decided he needs to be sure to walk and play outside with all of his friends of color. H(6) just simply doesn’t understand. This will be the first of many conversations and I am so glad we have started this important dialog.
