If a man truly was the type to never know if he hurt people, he’d be the guy constantly putting his foot in his mouth everywhere. With his family, at work. His mouth would get him into some awkward social situations. So it’s funny how guys who give these excuses only ever seem to consistently hurt their romantic partners only. Hmmm, funny that.

It’s just like how Lundy Bancroft cuts through the physically abusive man’s excuse that he just “loses control”. No he doesn’t, or he’d lose control with everyone. These guys are usually just fine with their buddies or on the job, they aren’t going apeshit for the most part. They save it for their women, because they feel entitled to bully her.

Exactly what a NVM texted me after my cut-off text. The same message he asked me to detail how exactly he had hurt me. I thought about responding, but realized that anyone with a small amount of self-awareness would realize that his behavior was unacceptable. Blocked now.
