I had been seeing this guy for about a year, when we first hooked up I asked if this was going to be a FWB situation and he was like "no, no way that isnt what this is" so we continued to see each other, hooking up, staying at his house, going out on dates ect. As soon as he could tell I had feelings he started becoming an emotionally unavailable asshole and did tiny little things to keep his distance from me. At this point I was already attached, I had a toothbrush at his house for fucks sake. And then things got really bad, he said some really awful things to me about my body and me as a person and wrecked my self-esteem. I still stayed because I was so afraid of being alone and being rejected, I made a post on relationship advice going more into detail and the women sent me this subreddit and thanks to you guys I blocked him on everything yesterday deciding I was done feeling shitty and not loving myself, not being able to contact me he showed up to my job and said "if you're going to block me out of your life can I at least have my hoodie back?!" I said wow and that's it and walked inside. He came inside and reassured me "i didnt come in for you I promised Luna (his dog) a hot dog" and made me ring him upm I said "that's cool" and I havent talked to him since. This time is different. I burned the bridge and there is no going back. I'm excited to get over this heartbreak and learn to love myself again! Thank you women SO MUCH for this subreddit because I would still be doing the same run around if I had not! Any advice on how to keep me distracted or from going into a depression over this? How to start loving myself?
