I had tickets to a major league sports game with a coworker — the company offered tix to a group of us in a box we have, just to be clear that this was non-romantic. He’s a big family man, and I love how involved with his kids he is. He also lost one of them way too soon. It broke and still breaks my heart.

He told me about how when he took his wife to a game, once, and her parents were visiting from their home country, he pulled some strings to get a message to them up on the scoreboard — and for free. His father-in-law loves big gestures, which is the main reason he did it.
