Have you ever seen the movie “Shallow Hal” ?

If you haven’t, there is the friend who wouldn’t get with the one gorgeous woman because her second toe was slightly larger than her big toe.

Which is obviously outrageous.

I seriously needed to see this today!!! Had a moment last night where I started doubting myself because I'm on stupid dating apps with no luck.

I lowered my standards once before and I'll never do it again!

I caught myself last night. A guy I use to talk to on dating apps is one of my snapchat buddies. He use to watch my snaps until I sort of took a dig at military men. I guess, he’s still sore about that. A year later.

But he still talks to me in my DMs. He’ll watch my snaps, sometimes. But he’ll keep his snaps hidden from me. I almost went into full pickmeisha mode but stopped myself. It’s not worth it.

I’m just going to let his ass orbit in hell. And he wonder why I ghosted his dopey, wishy washy, & whiney ass.

Rant over. Thanks for the reminder. You saved me from turning into full on pickmeisha.

Loneliness has actually elevated my standards tbh.

I take the back seat seeing people getting into trouble and learning more about red flags and HVMs. I've never followed pickmesha behaviour.

I try to help my friends to the best of my ability but the pickmesha behaviour that's so encouraged by the society is difficult to get across.

Being single is different from being lonely though.

Work on yourself, nurture your friendships and relationships with family members. Network with colleagues. If a wonderful HVM happens to come along, great! If not, still great!
