Im not sure where the lines between a guy being a cheapskate that's not worth it and someone who is just frugal, which could prove to be a good thing are?

The guy I went on a date with, well firstly we went when the movie tickets are cheaper (Sunday night), though this timing was preferable for me. He picked me up and on the way we went to drive thru burger king and he used coupons to buy us the burgers, and was like sorry, I have a mortgage (he bought a house when he was 20 and rents it out). Then we went to a movie and afterwards we shared a $8 dessert.

Would any of this be a red flag? I can tell he buys a lot of expensive things for himself, as he flaunts a bit ofit on social media. For instance, he has lot of the Apple products pretty much and does a lot of of online shopping. He is currently a university student though he claims he wont have any student debt for this course as he used to work as a tutor for the university. Thoughts?
