Even if it's your boyfriend Don't play devoted wife to a boyfriend of 6 months.. you can text him all day long when he's your husband. He could be your boyfriend and passively reciprocate so I like to do this even in a relationship. Too easy to get duped. If he loses interest around 6 or 9 or 12 months, you want to be able to notice. If you aren't doing all the texting, planning, etc, you will notice. It's not "mean", why is he allowed to rarely initiate but you aren't? Come on.

And after a handful of text exchanges, move on with your day. If you've had 10 messages back and forth and he's not setting up a date for the future, it's not rude to move on with your day. Often you'll text him 30 times a day with no date if you respond to every text, or get left on read. Your attention is valuable, invest in yourself.

Ive been an instant delete the number since cell phones existed so I could never text/call even if I had some weak moment. It was my own self protection!

Frankly I never saved their number either. I dont save a number in my contacts until there is actual potential.

Delete them out of your life fast and swift!
