I know some people here don't have guy friends for various reasons - well, I think you should reconsider if you are actively dating. First of all, you don't have to be friends with guys you aren't attracted to, so don't. Men sure as hell don't become friends with women they aren't attracted to so why should we be expected to? Therefore, I propose that we only be friends with men towards whom there is some form of attraction. Strategically, I think this works very well for women because being friends with a man for a while before you start dating gives you a long time to make sure he's safe. Also, since most men don't really become friends with women they aren't attracted to, there's a pretty good chance he is interested in you too.

Red flags I can think of with guy friends - if a guy friend is hitting on you or making the conversation really sexual, 99% of the time it means he doesn't respect you enough for a relationship and you should be insulted enough to ghost. It's a huge red flag if a guy friend you've known for a while talks about sex in detail and in a way that is flirty and weird before even asking you on a date.
