I matched with a guy on an OLD platform and we hit it off instantly. We were both traveling at the time, but it turned out we normally lived in the same city half way around the world. Corona hit a week afterwards so we couldn’t meet in person. Still, he called, video chatted, and/or texted every day for a month. We watched Netflix shows remotely together, he told me about his family, we even made some light summer plans.

On a day like any other, he asks for my thoughts on a show we just finished together. I respond that I have so many thoughts and I’ll tell him during our next video chat, which again, were daily occurrences at this point. I don’t hear from him again for two weeks.... then I get this text:

“Hey you. Despite the last few days I did not forget you and kept thinking about you. I can’t wait to be with you in after quarantine. Let’s FaceTime anytime this weekend? Thinking about you 😘”

It was two weeks of complete silence, not a “few days”. He sent this text several days ago. Even though I really, really liked him and still do. I have not replied. If he liked he wouldn’t have ghosted for two weeks right?
