men hate everything women and young girls like. boy bands, romantic movies (remember the hate twilight got?) – if women like it, you bet they'll shit on it. meanwhile, i remember as a kid how soccer/football hooligans would get into full-on physical fights over a fucking football team!! and yet no one makes fun of that.

Absolutely. The best experiences I had when I was in a relationship with someone I really loved and trusted and who felt the same way about me. Also, it has been proven that porn creates a desire for more violent sex in men. So what we are seeing now is a direct result of the mainstream acceptance of porn, and especially violent porn.

Libfems are experts at parroting meaningless slogans like that. Their knowledge of history, sociology, or feminist theory rarely goes beyond "catchy" slogans you can put in a tweet

"I like your boobs pressing against my back" this sounds pretty vulgar to me, and not intimate

Did you read the handbook? His no response is a response. No need to send him a text asking for clarification, you were basically throwing him one final chance to crawl back and continue talking to you and/or seeing you.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/10/20 07:18 PM

Very true. Sticking our heads in the sand and going "How could it ever go wrong???" with such an obvious age gap is just obtuse.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/09/20 06:56 PM
20

IDK why you're getting downvoted. It's true. She was 18 when they met, he was almost 30. She was too young to vet him properly, had no idea about relationships and love, and that older men looking for much younger women means trouble. Now she's in a fucked up situation without realizing he's been manipulative since the beginning.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/09/20 01:36 PM
22

Yes. She was 18 when they started dating, he was in his late 20s, nearly 30. It's clear that from the beginning this man was trash, although she was too young to notice.

Right? I was texting a guy from OLD for two days (not a week – he should ask out on a date by that point) and noticed he started phoning in his replies so I matched his energy and stopped replying. If he was really interested in meeting me, he'd strike up a convo again and he didn't so I unmatched him after a couple of hours.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/09/20 02:14 PM
6

You didn't even meet him... you talked to him on OLD for a week... there's no need to pay him so much attention or even explain why you blocked or deleted him. Just block him and move on when you notice he's not showing interest anymore. So what did I do? I shot back an argument, which consisted of the above—that he failed in courtship, therefore he should fuck right off. I told him that I prefer a man who is honest and upfront like myself, thus implying that he wasn’t at all. When I was delayed…

This is a question only you can answer. We all have different emotional issues, I know where mine come from. Usually, it's low self-esteem that we try to "fix" with male attention, very low standards because we are afraid to be alone and live a life without the distractions that a romantic relationship brings, etc.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/09/20 03:44 PM

misspelling "sweetie" as "sweaty" is a really common meme, it's meant as a joke
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/09/20 12:41 PM

why do you still have him in your friends list? block or delete him – if you had done this before, then his idiocy wouldn't have upset you because you wouldn't have seen his post.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/09/20 01:49 PM

I agree. It was cute once or twice but now it's clogging up the front page. If you want to make one, sure, but not every single one needs to be posted.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/09/20 01:39 PM

You never reach out to a man first, text, or call. Please read the handbook. If he wanted to, he would've taken your number to make sure he could arrange a date.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/09/20 01:37 PM
19

But even if you wanted something "casual", you'd still have to wade through the bullshit to find anyone semi-decent to even sleep with. I think you're bored and want to fill your time up with men but it sounds like you should be single for a while and find something else to do. I can guarantee that if you go down the "casual" route you'll end up catching feelings for someone who doesn't really care (been there) and it's just not worth it. There's a reason why FDS advises against it.

" If he texts you "morning beautiful", or "good night", while barely knowing you, please don't be flattered." Yes. This is just a "crafty" way of trying to trick you into thinking there is some intimacy between the two of you as quickly as possible so they can try and manipulate you into sending them nudes, having sex with them, whatever it is that they have on their agenda. A woman with low self-esteem will jump to thinking that this guy cares about her, wants to be in a committed relationship,…

when the first or second message is an invitation to follow him on snapchat, instagram, whatever, I immediately unmatch. In my experience, this is a telltale sign of an LVM. A decent dude will have a conversation with you first, maybe ask for social media later before the 1st date.

Go start your own sub then. Downvote me all you want, but FDS is clear enough on its rules and ideology and if your comments are getting deleted, then I'm pretty sure you're making comments that go against the FDS guidelines and handbook. Mods usually only delete comments that go directly against the rules, I've disagreed with people before and never had a comment deleted because my views align with the sub.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/08/20 12:53 PM

Exactly. Spare them no attention, absolutely NO paragraphs. He knows what he did, he just wants your attention, and he got it.

Same, I've never been asked that question. Granted, my exes weren't complete dumpster fires but it bewilders me to see women ask whether it's okay for a man to inquire about their "body count". Gross.

This is a tough love sub. Literally the first recommendation for all new members is to read the handbook, so if I see someone making posts and comments that clearly indicate they haven't, I will tell them. It's important that this sub stays high-quality and not overwhelmed by commenters who haven't bothered to at least skim through the handbook.

If a guy isn't suggesting a date within a couple of days of talking/texting, it's a dub. I usually stop responding or block them, depending on how well they get the hint. An interested man will initiate a date and an uninterested one is happy to waste your time just texting

a few years ago, i made the mistake of admitting to a guy i was seeing that i was bi. it took him less than 24 hours to suggest having a threesome. thankfully i had enough common sense back then to shut that shit down, even though i was a pretty bad pick me

In my country (I'm European), it's the norm for a man to pay. If a girl even offers, they immediately shut you down lmao. That being said, asking someone out to a meal as a first date is not something people do in my country because we see meals as something to share with family or close friends. Still, it's not impossible to distinguish between a low effort and high effort date even if you're not going out to eat specifically, so I don't get too hung up on it since I can tell by the places he s…

I'm European, too, and I agree that it's harder to gauge than in the US. I tend to aim for upscale bars where I can have a non-alcoholic drink since no one goes for dinner here as a first or second date. It's seen as something you do when you're already in a committed relationship or like a family thing if that makes sense lol. But there are plenty of other parameters to go by to help you figure the guy out, thankfully. EDIT: Also I think that in some European countries, coffee shops are waaaaay…

I don't really believe in commitment phobia. Women use commitment phobia to justify assholes wanting to keep their options open while fucking them on the regular, when in fact, they just don't want them like that. I'm sure there are people who have issues with letting people in emotionally, but it's nowhere near as common as we think.

Let's start getting into the mindset that you need to spend months getting to know a guy before even thinking of planning a future with him. This is a skill we all need to work on constantly because men hope that at some point we will be too far gone to dump them for shitty behavior. I am happy that you ditched him but yall only went out on one date, there wasn't any relationship here to speak of. Onwards and upwards

totally agree. i use instagram as a vetting tool, since i don't post anything on there that i wouldn't want my boss to see so i am okay with sharing it with potential dates since i can always block them. the first thing i do when they add me is to go through who they are following – if they follow a bunch of women, softporn models, etc i know it's an immediate pass.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/08/20 08:37 PM

here's a lil something from my experience... a man with half a brain will not ask about your sexual or dating history, ever. I've dated men who never asked me how many men i have slept with or how many times i was in a relationship. the minute this question gets brought up, you will know you're dealing with an LVM.

I'm not American either and the most I've dated was 2 guys at once. It's about your mindset, rather your actions. I don't have the time to date more men at the same time and tbh, men in my area are thrash so it's hard to find semi-decent ones to begin with. But dating multiple men at once will prevent you from getting emotionally attached too soon. If you can't or won't do this, then you have to take active steps to minimize your risk of premature attachment. Hobbies, work, friends, whatever, ju…

I'm glad to see the mods removed some of the comments I reported because the users very clearly did not read the handbook...
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/07/20 02:43 PM

He DOES NOT care. Block him and move on with your life. Nothing you say will get him to change his behavior to you and the paragraphs are completely unnecessary. Read the handbook please

they literally..... do not.... care.... all they see is "lmaooo i just got this paragraph sent to me by this random chick" that they can screenshot and text their friends. don't be that girl.

Fucking gross
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/07/20 07:56 PM

Yesss! Before I even made an account here I spent weeks reading through the handbook – all new members should do the same.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/07/20 07:50 PM

girl he is trash.... he was okay with you driving an hour to see him, you were right to ditch him. if he wants to split everything 50/50 he can get a fucking business partner
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/07/20 03:05 PM

Yes. If he uses social media and you're casually dating, he should share it with you. If not, he's probably hiding something or wants to hide you
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/07/20 08:31 AM

The only women that respond to this kind of disgusting and manipulative behavior are women with emotional issues and low self esteem. I would bounce at the first sign of such behavior
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/06/20 04:59 PM

This is a prime example of an LVM trying to use corny compliments to get into a woman's pants.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/06/20 04:51 PM

Exactly. Male attention is worthless and many of them just love the chase. Don't get it twisted

Assertive white man........ What the hell is going on in his brain
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/06/20 05:51 AM
5

Exactly. And most people will want to do their best on a first date. I think that many women in this sub unfortunately had such horrific experiences with men, that when a man with a modicum of decency comes along, they think he's HV. Without a doubt, a man is capable of not meeting your standards even if he does the bare minimum, has a good job, manners, etc.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/06/20 09:52 AM

Louder!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/06/20 05:58 PM

I'm dying at this comment
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/06/20 08:03 PM
28

You just had one meeting tho, it's impossible to know if a guy is high value from one interaction. What it sounds like is he has basic manners and is confident, and I've met men like that too, but they still turned around to disrespect me in other ways. Don't be too quick to assign value to a man
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/06/20 06:45 PM
35

I think I'll pass dumbass
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/06/20 06:40 PM

I understand where you're coming from but 99 percent of the time, these men want to antagonize you, they aren't looking to change their perspective or engage in a meaningful debate. So arguing with them is a waste of your precious energy
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/06/20 01:33 PM
2

Why are you arguing with him
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/06/20 01:26 PM

Lmaoooooo he is desperate for some free sex!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/06/20 05:39 AM
20

There is no way of dealing with them and ghosting them is the only route you can take. We need to get out of this mindset that if we just use the right words to explain ourselves, that men will learn how to treat us right. They know what they are doing, and they don't care. I only have female friends for a reason
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/06/20 05:35 AM
9

It's definitely a conversation that you don't want to bring up during a 1st date but it's something you can easily work into the conversation later by talking about sex work in general... You can bring up a random article you read and see what he says about it for example. As for you feeling like it would be harder to eliminate the guy, you need to work on getting into the kind of mindset where cutting a man off, whether it's after 3 or 6 months of dating, is something you know you can do. I wou…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/06/20 08:16 PM

I've had men admit this to me, because they think I'm "chill" and prostitution has become very normalized in western society I feel, so they're more likely to admit it to you. This is not the kind of question you ask directly, ever, you have to play it smart and fish it out of them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/06/20 07:58 PM

This is the best response to this kind of inflammatory bs
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/06/20 07:52 PM

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/06/20 03:58 PM

These people are eating crazy pills for breakfast lunch and dinner
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/06/20 11:59 AM

Exactly. Stop entertaining this type of behavior. The minute he texts something out of line just block or unmatch, who the hell has time to keep responding to someone you don't care about? Not very hv

Right?? Some of these comments excusing this type of behavior are wildddd

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/06/20 07:19 AM

Yes, exactly. I've seen men in their 40s put their age as being in their 20s to get a chance to match with younger women. It's gross
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/06/20 07:17 AM
10

Girl he is a sleazebag, why would he deserve an explanation? You had a terrible time with him and all he wanted was to have sex with you, he didn't care for you as a person.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/06/20 07:14 AM
20

In my experience, this is their way of trying to catch your attention so you would text them. In any case its sleazy behavior
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/06/20 07:11 AM

IA. Like he is going above and beyond for someone he never even spoke to over the phone

Just shows how ENTITLED they are to women's bodies Like you can't make this misogynistic shit up, he is so pissed off he is not getting sex for treating a woman decently Hope he continues staying the fuck out of the dating scene, we don't need his dusty ass
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/06/20 05:58 PM
23

Girl, it has nothing to do with you. A man will shoot his shot with any woman, no matter what her standards are. It's up to you to weed them out, that's why fds exists. If only hvm were attracted to hvw, we wouldn't need to have fds lmao
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/06/20 03:00 PM
11

No. There is a difference between interest and attachment. I am interested in a man and would like to get to know him better to see if we are compatible, but I am emotionally attached to my good friends who I am very close to. Getting attached to a man you do not know is a sure fire way of falling down the rabbit hole with an LVM
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/06/20 06:01 AM
9

Wow he's a real piece of trash
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/06/20 05:59 AM

Getting too enthusiastic is a bad thing, you're on the right path. After one date you really don't know much about him, so there's no reason to get all excited
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/06/20 05:58 AM
12

You got attached too early. Keep dating multiple men at the same time or at least seek them out, and keep your emotions in check
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/06/20 05:55 AM
17

Yep, if he hasn't reached out for more than 3 days, I delete him off everything. That usually sends a pretty strong message, and they don't reach out anymore.

I was doing pretty well not checking my ex's social media for a month or two, then I slipped up a few months ago. It ended up affecting me negatively for weeks, I'm not kidding you. Every time I get the urge to go and see what he's up to, I remind myself that it just costs me my inner peace and that's a price that is too high to pay.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/06/20 09:04 PM
61

You are not over-reacting. This is an insight into his character – if you stay and have children with him, is he going to like watching you struggle raising them all alone while he sits on his ass all day? Probably. The voice in your head telling you that you're blowing this out of proportion is your inner Pickmeisha, don't listen to her.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/06/20 09:02 PM
55

Men who rank women on scales of out of 10 are children whom I do not entertain. With all the privileges men have in life, of course they have it easier in the dating world.

No I know I wasn't disagreeing with you haha
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/06/20 07:56 PM

I agree with you. Growing up working class is tough and seeing people just get stuff handed to them when you would have to save up for months if you wanted to buy that thing for yourself is a hard pill to swallow. That being said, he has no business being with a woman this young and giving her shit over how she lives. His immaturity is showing

And they call women hysterical and emotionally unstable

Women having standards is just infuriating to them. I would never engage with a man who wasn't on my level on a lot of things, not just career wise. In doing so, I am not actively hurting anyone else - a bitch is minding her own business. The thing is, the mere notion of a woman choosing and having standards by which she selects a partner angers them because, at heart, they believe women shouldn't be entitled to that right. They believe we should be lucky to be with any man, serve him, and put u…

Sooner or later, all situationships implode in a similar way, happened to me as well. It's definitely a lesson learned!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/06/20 09:42 PM

He even says his wife would ask him if he was okay and he wouldn't talk to her! His whole story is BS
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/06/20 03:54 PM

I mean, don't pretend to be something you're not, but be confident - sit up tall, make eye contact, etc. Dressing well and feeling good about how you look will help you boost your confidence. For me, this includes make up, doing my hair, putting together a nice outfit that's not too provocative. Approach the date as something fun, try not to be too nervous. Also, avoid overly sexual topics and innuendos, discussing your exes and past sexual history, or any trauma or mental health issues you migh…

It's incredible how he does not grasp the severity of the situation. Not only did he cheat, but proceeded to have a lengthy affair and only came back when he realized the hot young thing from work wasn't gonna cut it. So he thinks he can just go back to how things were before?? Insanity.

But the woman could claim she is not intimidated or punished - she could genuinely believe that her position is inferior to men as a result of years of indoctrination or patriarchal upbringing which doesn't always have to be violent. And its still, technically, her "choice" which is why I am wholly against using that word to define feminism, an ideology that is far too complex to be reduced to a fun slogan of "Its all about letting women choose!" as this can get twisted to fit everyone's narrati…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/05/20 03:28 PM
16

Okay so if a woman follows an incredibly patriarchal religion which oppresses her very existence, that's still a feminist choice? Miss me with that libfem BS
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/05/20 03:20 PM
7

IA. I understand the need to have someone in your life you can rely on and let take charge from time to time because being on top of everything 24/7 is just exhausting, but the language she is using is really rubbing me the wrong way.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/05/20 03:12 PM
18

Not really. Choices aren't made in a vacuum and this interpretation of feminism is extremely shallow and has led to this whole libfem "everything a woman does is empowering regardless of what that choice is or how she arrived at her decision". IA with your point but I don't agree with the notion that feminism=choice.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/05/20 03:07 PM
8

IA. Also going on a date with someone who has just one profile picture that's grainy and sends you a short message about meeting up would send me running for the hills. I would never even consider going out with someone before getting a chance to at least see his face in pictures
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/05/20 03:04 PM

Exactly. These traits don't exist in a vacuum, so taking into account all of his personality & behaviour is key

This is an excellent point!

Rich of him to think that her friends would want to have sex with him Porn has completely twisted these men's minds I swear to God
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/05/20 09:56 PM

I've never had a guy say someone else's name during sex but if that happened now, it would be the last time we had sex lmao. It's a dead giveaway he's thinking of someone else while doing it with you
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/05/20 09:51 PM

Yeah I thought so myself, this is some "queens are born in July" BS lmao

This looks photoshopped
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/05/20 12:58 PM

Tbh, I wouldn't try and get out of it - I would pay for my part, be perfectly polite, and just never see him again.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/05/20 11:25 AM
8

Exactly. A man who thinks you owe him something after he pays for the date will hold anything over your head
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/05/20 05:44 AM
11

Ugh what an ass
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/05/20 05:42 AM

Lmao "cuddles" BOY IF YOU DON'T STFU
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/05/20 05:50 PM

You're definitely right. That's why I always cringe when women start bringing up attachment styles, love languages, and abandonment issues too much when talking about men. Like, no sis, he doesn't have an avoidant attachment style, he is an asshole.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/05/20 02:10 PM

I feel the same way! Dating is so much easier now because I know what signs to look out for! Texting a man first and TaKiNg IniTiATiVe only draws out a situationship that is in no way beneficial to us and only wastes our precious time
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/05/20 01:12 PM

If you live in the US, then having a car would be pretty important and a sign he has his shit together, unless he lives in a big city or is very passionate about the environment. Europe is different, however, since most countries here have good public transport, eliminating the need for a car.

I try to look at it this way - if these bad experiences hadn't happened to me, if I wasn't such a pickmeisha, I never would've sought this sub out and I never would have changed my ways. We've all had our moments but I'm proud of you for walking out on him!

I started talking to a guy recently who literally came up w a nickname for me within 48 hours??? He was definitely trying to force a sense of familiarity early on and he gave me a whole bunch of other red flags so I dropped him

This comment puts it really well. Passionate sex is one thing, when both partners are really into it, but having to choke someone, spit on them, and call them degrading names just to get off is VERY concerning. The men who need this in their sex life need to do a lot of self evaluation to see what got them to this point. Unfortunately the normalization of BDSM has made all of this acceptable to the point where telling a guy that you don't want to be choked during sex makes you a boring partner. …

If a guy leaves you feeling confused and like he's playing games, it's time to move on. It's just not worth it and he won't change how he treats you. Just occupy yourself with other things and remember that you deserve to be treated with respect

I cut off contact with the first guy I started talking to after I joined FDS! He seemed great at first and expressed interest in meeting up after lock down is over. We had some really cool convos but after a week or so the mask started to slip. He started asking for pics (and we all know what that means) and putting a lot less effort into substantial convos so I just blocked him. It's clear he was just looking for a sexting buddy. In the past, I would've definitely continued talking to him and i…

If she's feeling confused and he's giving her mixed signals.... It's a dub. If he was into her she wouldn't be on here asking for advice.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/05/20 02:14 PM
23

Exactly. This post is actually going directly against the handbook, since there is advice in there that specifically says that there is no "perfect script" to give to a guy to make him change or treat you better. He clearly doesn't want to and no amount of perfect phrasing will change that. Besides, most guys can pretend for the first couple of months, so if this guy is slipping now, it's because he was pretending before. This is why I can't overemphasize the importance of dating multiple men, b…

Dinner dates, e.g. It's really not a thing here, so imo, having an alcoholic free drink at a classy bar is fine for me as a first date. In the US, though, it's a different thing altogether. Although I have to say I did spend some time in the northern part of Europe and I was very turned off by the lack of chivalry shown by men there, so I suggest for you to go on dates with both locals and expats and evaluate how things go.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/05/20 01:11 PM

Obviously if you're on medication and in a committed relationship, then yes, I think it would be okay to share that piece of info. But anything else.... I wouldn't talk about it at all.

I wouldn't introduce a man to my friends or family after one date, so why is it so crazy that I don't want to take part in such an intimate act with a literal stranger?

I think the answer is always the same - he's just not that into you. A man who spends time with you and has sex with you, and still doesn't want you as a girlfriend in a committed relationship - - doesn't want you. It doesn't get any more complex than that, but I think our egos trick us into thinking "well maybe he has commitment issues/not ready for a relationship/bla bla" nah. He doesn't like you like that.

I don't like that either. A compliment here or there in the early stages is cute, but I obviously know you're attracted to me otherwise we wouldn't be talking. Piling on the "you look like a supermodel" is just cringey. Also, it makes me wonder if it's a strategy to make you go all "Well I'm not all that"

I just got so TIRED. Tired of putting in all that effort of looking good, being fun on dates, being understanding when a guy would flake on plans for the 3rd time in a row, but most importantly I got fucking tired of feeling confused all the time. This is just so terrible. All my friends (female, I only hang out with women) give thoughtful birthday presents, always bring something back from a trip, and are happy to cook breakfast if we're all having a sleepover. We know each other really well, and to think that there are women out there with WHOLE ASS HUSBANDS they've been married to for years who STILL are too lazy and uncaring to come up with a sweet present is just beyond me. Here's a quick field report as I'm slowly getting back on OLD, but not physically meeting anyone. Pre-FDS, if I matched with a guy and liked him, I would immediately stop looking for other potential dates and put all my focus on him, getting too attached without even knowing him, and would then unleash my pickmeisha supreme when he didn't treat me the way he was supposed to because I was simply too invested in a fantasy version of him. Now, I'm talking to several guys at the same time and I am s…

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/05/20 08:04 AM

IA. I would move in only after getting engaged, with a clear wedding date set. Men get all the benefits from living with a woman, whereas women might just get a whole lot of time wasted.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/05/20 07:45 AM
63

Because of texting, it's very easy for men to breadcrumb women and make them feel like they're into them, when they're just bored and probably keeping them around for when they get horny. But the fact is, if he's being flaky w dates, then that's a very clear sign he's not into you

16

Sounds like a good idea to me!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/05/20 06:22 AM

Yes I think so too. For the right girl, a man will get his shit together and treat her right. If he's not showing effort, it's because he doesn't want to. It's not some deep psychological reason, and using it as an excuse is not very productive imo. Most of us have some sort of baggage anyways
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/05/20 06:19 AM
2

Yes!! Same exact thing. It has to be some sort of social phenomena and I think it's so ridiculous and stupid. Like.... Chances are we're gonna live pretty long lives so we've got plenty of time to actually be old... Let's not get ahead of ourselves here lmao

I'm seeing a lot of talk about "avoidant attachment" in the comments. It could be, yes. But to be fair, it's a pretty big assumption to make about these guys we don't know and haven't dated, but you have, so my word of advice is -- be okay with disappointment. Follow the handbook, don't get emotionally invested too soon, and understand that it takes sometimes months for men to show their true face. Good men are very hard to find, and if you're out there and dating (especially in your 20s) you're…

This is a great post! I've changed in similar ways as well. I think one of the biggest takeaways from FDS that I got was that dating shouldn't be hard and it won't be if you set standards and follow them. Just 6 months ago I genuinely believed that mixed signals and bad communication were just hurdles to get past and if I just stuck out a little longer, then I would receive the kind of attention I deserve. This sub gives a lot of tough love. And in my experience, women (including myself) are very turned off by men who are hard to get. Even in my worst pickmeisha days, I would never give these men a second look. Why should I? I don't want anyone who wants me to prove myself to them. Sure, I embarrassed myself in other ways but never for these types. Regardless, personal experiences are subjective and don't give the whole picture. Neither you nor I are right. I do believe that this attitude, where w…

Your comment just reminded me of when I went on a date with this sleazebag almost a year ago. Over text he told me, unprompted, that he was 5'8. I'm 5'6. I show up for the date and we're the same fucking size lmaoooo That was the first and last time I saw him

Liberal "feminism" needs to be stopped, like 10 years ago. In my country, casual sex and hook ups are still not the norm, although a rising number of younger men are getting increasingly brazen on OLD. But still, having sex is still considered pretty serious. But I've come in contact with a lot of people from the west (like the US for example) and when I explained how casual sex is not my thing and how I would never have sex on the first date, they look at me like I've grown horns on my head. Wh…

If you're in a relationship, a guy is supposed to be into you. He is supposed to also be able to manage his own home, as an adult male. He is also supposed to stay in touch with you and initiate communication, etc. Doing these things does not make him high value -- he does not get a gold star for acting the way a grown man who is in a relationship is supposed to act. I'm sorry if I sound harsh but I think it's so important for women to realize that doing the bare minimum does not an HVM make. As…

Only a man with no value would say these things and I do not engage with such men - - they're not interested in anything a woman has to say anyway and I wouldn't want them anywhere near me, so they can go rant somewhere else

I think it's a tactic where they want to present themselves as not being afraid to admit they're InTiMiDaTeD bY a StRoNg WoMaN, so at the same time it seems like they're paying you a compliment and are (like you said) vulnerable. It's just a strategy to make you feel like you have the upper hand while it's them running the show behind the scenes

They claim they want a wife and kids and wants to be dads. What exactly were they up to then for the past two decades if not fucking around and leading women on for emotional labor and sex? Exactly! I've known a few young women in their 20s dating men in their 40s who were bachelors and had never married, and they were always "party boys" who just did not want to settle down. Hence the part about them dating women 20 years younger than them. I think it's a way of luring women in with promises of…

This is very interesting to me from a cultural point of view. I'm not from the west (I'm assuming a large portion of women on this sub are), but in my part of the world, saying "I love you" to someone is a really big deal! In fact, if a guy told me he loved me before the 6-month mark I wouldn't believe him haha. I use Tinder whenever I feel like getting back into OLD and I have similar vetting criteria. I'm so "picky" that I usually swipe right only on one man in a month or so, but it really does a great job of weeding all the creeps out. Even if I go on a date and there's no chemistry, it doesn't turn out to be a negative experience.

I totally understand this mindset. Decent men are hard to find, so when you come across one, you just don't want to let him go that easy and you're willing to put up with slow fading, for example, hoping that one day you'll wake up and you guys will be back on track. Happened to me as well and a lot of women on this sub I'm sure. The thing is, no matter how great he seems, the fact he made you feel confused and like you had to vie for his attention is reason enough to not just drop him, but forg…

Girl I would've reacted the same way -- anyone who wants to be in a serious relationship with me has no goddamn business exchanging any types of messages with their ex. I don't care if they had the most wonderful break up in the world, there's no reason for them to communicate anymore.

Do we need more info though? Someone who complains about condom use in any way is showing a lack of good values. He is basically saying he doesn't care about his health, or hers for that matter. When she visited him, his place was a mess. What kind of a high value man wouldn't make sure his place was neat before the girl he is seeing comes over for the first time?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/04/20 06:47 PM

This is literally my mantra from now on. I ended things with a guy before I found FDS but had I known about this sub sooner he wouldn't have had half the chances I ended up giving him in the end. Oh well, the clown make up is finally coming off my face

this comment is perfect! i would also just add -- what he says in anger is how he truly feels about you. so don't think that he just lashed out and didn't know what he was saying. he was actually being his truest, most honest self.

I was just recently in the same boat but kept making excuses for him. Then I started matching his energy, began slow fading him, and then just left him on read. He didn't try reaching out so I got my answer haha. Yeah it stung for a little bit, but life is a lot nicer when I'm not constantly checking my phone to see if he replied. Thankfully he hasn't tried contacting me again
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/20 08:54 PM

I've had similar experiences as well. I think these types of men like the attention and knowing they have a woman on the backburner just in case
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/20 08:48 PM
16

Totally agree. In my case, I feel like my ego got involved a little bit as well. I couldn't accept that this man wasn't really all that into me, which is why he was being so flaky and causing me to feel "confused". Nah, it's not because "he's so busy" or "his family is visiting", he just did not care about me like that and my ego wouldn't allow me to accept that.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/20 08:42 PM
10

Yeah, the same thing happened to me as well. We made plans to go to an event over the weekend and on the day, he tells me he cOuLdN't GeT TiCkEtS even though he had plenty of time. My pickme dumbass asked him if he was free to meet anyways and he goes and tells me he's playing a game with his friends.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/20 08:34 PM

Didn't text me back for a week and when he finally did, he gave me a halfassed apology and said he couldn't get back to me because he was in bed sick. Yep, sick and in bed. And couldn't text me back. And my dumbass just swept it under the rug like it was no big deal! What the hell was wrong with me
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/20 08:28 PM

He's just a fuck boy, that's all there is to it tbh. In a year, that could be you sadly. It always sucks when you think you've met a decent guy but then he shows you his real face.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/20 06:25 PM
8

Now I know you know the answer to this! Men say a loooot of shit but how they treat you is the truth! He is having sex with another girl and is keeping you around as a backup. He knows that if he disappears you'll probably lose interest and he still wants you on his roster. Spend some time reading the handbook and you'll understand just how low value his behavior is.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/20 06:15 PM
12

Yes. He doesn't have half a brain if he's seeing people during a pandemic Block and delete Edit: and on top of that, he's lying to you. Don't look for excuses sis!

I read this story the other day. Hope he gets banned for life.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/04/20 05:44 PM
7

Yeah this is a big one for me too. I'm still working on myself but even in my worst pickmeisha days I would use ambition or desire to do well in school/career as my baseline. If he's not willing to put any effort in his future, why would I expect he would do that for me?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/03/20 07:51 PM
57

You know that the bar is so low when things like having good hygiene are a huge deal lmao. I feel you! I've also struggled with ending things when a man's political views align with mine or when he's tidy and takes care of himself. But at the end of the day, emotional intelligence really is the be all, end all, and if he doesn't have that, then it's a wrap.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/03/20 09:46 PM
33

"His roommate was his ex and he had explained this the first day we started talking. " This moment, right here, was when you should've bounced. No man worthy of your time should be living with an ex of all people! Take this as a lesson, don't dwell too much on what you should've done since he clearly wasn't all that to begin with, and move on. edit: on a second thought, I don't even believe she's his ex. He's probably out here cheating on her.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/03/20 09:37 PM

Women should never, ever accept the ridiculous notion that they should enter and stay in relationships with men even though they will be unhappy and disappointed most of the time. I'd rather be single, spend time with family and friends, learn new things, progress in my career/education, etc. Why should I lose sleep over someone I was perfectly fine without? Who knew that such an innocent concept could be so offensive?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/03/20 09:15 PM
4

It's the patriarchal notion that men are entitled to our bodies and that we, as women, exist to serve them in some way. If you say this, they'll deny it of course, but a vast majority of them feel this way. It's why they hate overweight women who dare live their lives without giving af - because they cannot get it through their heads that a woman doesn't care if a guy finds her unattractive. Your "friend" sounds disgusting and I would cut him off.

It's crazy how quickly after I found FDS everything began to click! It's been a month since I've started reading the sub and I've already noticed a really big attitude shift within me, where I've completely moved on from a guy I was hung up on for a good couple of months (even tho there was clearly no promise of a serious LTR) by just realizing what my worth is and what is and isn't acceptable dating behavior. And most importantly -- not to give excuses or benefit of the doubt to men, which I di…

Key word is "seems". From what I gather, you don't know her personally or this new dude she's dating, so it's questionable whether she (or him, for that matter) really is HV. I think that takes time to suss out
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/03/20 10:08 AM

I always gave guys the benefit of the doubt in the past. Turned out a clown every single time. The truth is -- he's not interested and you should match his energy. The men who were genuinely interested in me would text back in a reasonable time frame, if they got too busy to carry the conversation, they would say so. They initiated plans and I never had to wonder where I stood with them.

He reminds me of an ex of mine. Me, being as young/inexperienced as I was, let that slide only for it to come and bite me in the ass later on when we eventually did break up. It all boils down to him not wanting to communicate like an adult and being dismissive of you. In my case, it didn't seem LiKe a BiG dEaL until shit really hit the fan in our rship and I realized I had spent two years of my life with a man who would hang up on me mid-convo because he didn't like the topic.

I used to do this as well -- spent hours consoling, talking about their ex, why he acts the way he does, what she should do, bla bla bla... until I realized I was basically being used as a free therapist by someone who wasn't even willing to listen to my advice or even ask me how I was doing. Now, when the topic of relationship issues pops up I just nod and switch the topic to something else. (Unless it's a major problem and with a friend I know cares about me the way I do about them). Not sure …
