My best friend is in a LTR. They're really committed, want to get married, but currently live separately due to logistics, properties, kids etc. They've stopped seeing each other and t's really hard for them. My daughter usually goes to stay with her Dad every other weekend. But now she can't (she's over 18, but has autism so it's like she'sa child in many ways). It's breaking his heart. I've been seeing a guy for about a month before quarantine and we were getting on really well. I miss him. I miss my parents, my siblings, my friends. A friend's uncle had a stroke, is paralyzed and unable to talk. His wife can't visit him, can't sit at his side at this scary time. People are canceling their weddings, watching their businesses fail. People are losing their loved ones without saying goodbyes. All these sacrifices people are making are being undermined by those selfish LVM and LVW. Do they think they are more special than the rest of us?

I just got done listening to a podcast where hosts interviewed an EMS paramedic, undocumented migrant worker, a daughter whose mom is one mild illness away from death, and an entire family with the Coronavirus. It's terrifying. They are so ill, desperate, wracked with guilt that they could have spread it to others.

And yet here's Cosmo with that atrocious headline. Cosmo makes it comfortable for society to objectify women. I didn't even read the stupid article.

I have no words. I'm adding these idiots to the long list of idiots I keep finding during this pandemic, which includes:

-the evangelicals who are still going to church

-the Mormons who decided to do impromptu extended family reunions because of LDS general conference

-the people who keep golfing, even going so far as to break into the country club or golf course to golf

-the people who treat grocery stores and laundromats as family time and insist on bringing the whole freaking family

-the people on Nextdoor screaming about how this is AMERICA, and it is their god given right to play pickup soccer in the park and any cops who tell them to leave are being commies

-the people throwing hissy fits over the fact that Wal-mart closed their dressing rooms, and this is unfair and horrible

-people like my ex-roommate, who keep having people over, including cleaning people, during this pandemic

I don't get why it is SO HARD for people to STAY HOME and NOT HAVE PEOPLE OVER during this thing. How selfish can you be? Covid 19 is highly contagious. Whole families have gotten it from one family dinner. Now is not the time for gatherings. It is not the time for hookups.

Edit: I'm not surprised for Cosmo to be the one encouraging hookups during a pandemic. They're awful that way.
