First off... can I be all of you who are so flipping confident?

I KNOW that I am high value but didn’t even realize how much I had lowered my standards just to have some type of male connection over the years until this sub.

I was married and left my ex due to him lying, cheating, and being abusive (I got married very young, fresh out of an abusive home/childhood). After that, I’ve dated people and generally ended things with them or had a lot of conflict with them due to calling them out on their BS but still staying.

So that’s my issue.

Knowing and seeing the dysfunction and that these men are full of shit but usually staying or wanting someone to stay just because honestly, I really feel like I’ll be alone if I don’t put up with it.

So the question is.. how have you just accepted this possible fate of “alone forever” and decided to be okay with it?

I have great friendships, don’t need sperm because I have an amazing child, and I love living alone and not having to take care of a mans mess. I eat well and exercise, learn a lot, have hobbies, etc.

I could add more travel to my life for sure, as well as focus more on community ties, as well as strengthening finances and career, and buying a home.

I realize being alone isn’t a curse. It really is not and I am happy in my life. But my ideal would be to be in a happy partnership.

But recognizing the realities of the dating scene and men I’ve met from aged 30-40 is still depressing lol
