Especially if you have tried to help them in the past and they have stuck to their ways.

They will never have your best intentions in mind because their lives and self worth revolves around men. Getting attention and validation from men is their biggest priority. And they won't hesistate to throw you under the bus if it means they'll look better for a guy.

I know some of us are former pickmeishas so when we see another girl being that way, we're inclined to help and be their therapists. Because we know how shitty it was and naturally we want to help our friends.

But I've learnt a valuable lesson. You can't help someone until they want to be helped. You can nudge them in the right direction. But you should not stick around and hold their hands trying to drag them to sanity. Because all that will do, is hold you back.

You'll be constantly exposed to the pickmeisha mindset. Some of them might even project their insecurities onto you. Make you doubt yourself, change your priorities. They'll never be happy for you, especially if they think you're doing better than them. Because their lives are a constant competition.

They might even try to hit on your HVM, if they see you in a healthy relationship because of jealously.

If your pickmeisha friends value your friendship and respect themselves they will snap out of it. And you can have your friend back. But while they stay in that mindset there's no way they can be healthy for you. They can be just as/if not more toxic than a LVM.

My friends now are all HVW. And I love them so much. We're constantly bringing each other up, helping each other improve and become the best version of ourselves. There's no "competition". We're genuinely happy when we see each other achieve something and I never feel alone.

And due to this, I don't even "want" a man in my life. Because my happiness and self worth is not tied to that anymore, not even in the slighest. So now if a HVM enters, it would be like a little cherry on top. Thats it.

So please ladies, drop your pickmeisha friends ASAP. Its the best thing for yourself and even for those pick-me friends. Once they realise all the good friends in their lives have distanced themselves, they might finally do some self reflection and grow.
