Ladies, it may sound bare minimum, I completely agree. But hear a sis out! I have been talking to a guy recently in a very FDS way. No fawning or no too much attention to him. Replying to his texts only. Never initiating a conversation.

Today morning he sent me a good morning message ( He does that everyday) We were in a middle of conversation last night and I didn’t reply to that as well ,since I slept. I replied to both. He didn’t text me whole day. Now he texted me sorry that he didn’t text back and was busier than usual today. A good night message and he will talk to me tomorrow.

This has been the first time some one responded on their own without me getting on their back about it. I used to do it in a not so subtle way- sending have a great day texts, sending memes or asking questions whole day to get a simple response and of course validation from them.

It may seem so simple but being on the receiving end for the first time in my life gives me so much high. It has always been my “pickme” self who used to continuously text and get anxious when they didn’t reply. Worrying why they didn’t reply and over thinking they got bored of me. Doing their 50% part as well and draining myself.

I am not hoping or wishing this guy to be HVM. I remember fellow FDSers mantra - Everyone is LVM until proved otherwise. I am just so happy and I wanted to share this little thing with someone who understands where I come from. Who does it more than you all guys. It is a small step but one that I am proud of.
