I have been lurking Reddit for a very long time and this is my first time posting anything. I just wanted to share a little insight. My entire life I’ve been told by many men that I intimidate or scare them because I’m too good for them (due to being educated, personality, etc.) When I was younger (and a hardcore pickmeisha) this would immediately upset me and I would try so hard to come across as “less intimidating” in order to not make them feel uncomfortable around me. Therefore, I would try to downplay who I was in order to cater to these LVM’s needs and not scare them away. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I would always blame my “intimidating & scary” tendencies as the reason why I couldn’t find a good man. When I should have just weeded these losers out because they weren’t at my level AT ALL! Fast forward to now, I find it so satisfying when a man is intimidated by me...because they should be. When a man calls me “scary, intimidating or unapproachable” I just laugh at their face because it shows me that they feel so minuscule in my presence! 😂 They are so insecure that being around a woman that truly knows herself, knows what she wants, is successful and doesn’t need a man to be happy scares the living daylights out of them. And guess what, ALL of the men that have said this to me have been LVM. Unfortunately, I dated a few of these losers and it took me a long time to realize this. Now, when a LVM says this to me, I almost take it as a compliment, laugh at their face, stop talking to them and move on with my day. Do any of you feel a sense of satisfaction when you intimidate a man as well?
