[Translated] "You sought a flower,

And found a fruit

You sought a spring,

And found a sea

You sought a woman

And found a soul -

You are disappointed."

This is the last part of a poem by Edith Södergran (b. 1892, d. 1923), a finnish-swedish poet. She didn't receive much recognition in her lifetime, but is now regarded one of Finland's foremost poets. 

The flower/fruit lines are what sticks out the most for me personally. I feel like it's definitely something that hints to men wanting you and naive girls to mold, but here the woman is past her blossom stage and has already matured into a fruit. And for LVM/NVM it does not matter how sweet or juicy the fruit is, they wanted a flower that hasn't yet reached maturity.
