Yet the same person will fear all men as being stastitically possinbe to be harmed by them (like some poisonous mint would ruin a whole pack). It does mean that every man is assumed to be potentially a threat hence it associate all male with male violence.

Replace male by black (because it is factually true that stastically black ppl are more likely to sustain or perpetract violence than white ppl)

ppl are critisizing male violence and seeing all men as a potential threat (even the one who did nothing, exemple of the poisonous snake among non poisonous one)
I am a male
Therefore i am under the assumption that i am a potential threat (hence under attack)

Honestly, I would understand their argument if you took it completely out of the cultural context. A lot of statistics are based around demographic groups.

The problem is when you reinsert it into the cultural context. When these feminists discuss male violence, it’s inevitable that someone says the phrase “all men,” or often times “kill all men.” They refuse any nuance to their argument because it would become very apparent that it’s just not correct.

Yes, men do disproportionally commit violent crimes. But they’re also disproportionately the victims. We could also talk about the crimes disproportionately committed by women, or how most men strongly disavow rape, murder, etc.

It’s almost like the two sexes are different! But feminists hate that conversation and simply think that any man who wants to be masculine must be bad.

I once had an English teacher (actually, several) who gave me the wonderful advice that, sometimes, the smarter someone tries to sound in writing—as an example, the more big-fancy-SAT-words they string together— the more they really just want to feel smart, or make you feel dumb.

I think about that sometimes, and this is one of those times.
