Men need friends: the loneliness problem

The reason men are alone is lack of empathy. We teach our children to distrust men, and assign "bad" motives to their actions. Then, somehow, we are surprised when men are isolated and blamed for their own victimhood.

I am seeing posts and articles about Men Loneliness all over the places those days.

They all fail to mention how, during the past years, male bonding time has been shunned by society, especially women.

I read plenty of jokes that men together just play soccer, get drunk, play videogames and hit on other women. That they behave like immature teenagers, etc.

Or if men need two days out alone with male friends, women need way more because their life is more stressful because of Patriarchy.

Or that any activity/place/organization for "women only" is considered progressive. But the same for "men only" is regressive

And, last but not least, they forget how often, in real life, men are gaslighted into cutting ties with their friends by an insecure partner etc.

So yeah, if we want to talk about male loneliness we should talk about all of this

I think both genders are misandrist and pro female . Human beings are biologically programmed to be misandrist and we have to control this instinct . Men prefer female company more than male company.

To have and keep male friends , men need to be aware of their own internalized misandery and control it . Stop being hostile to men .

I feel like this phenomena can at least partially be attributed to the exceedingly casual homophobia of the 80s and 2000s; guys are afraid to show affection towards one another out of fear of seeming "gay", and so constantly hold each other at arm's length and draw rigid boundaries for acceptable and unacceptable behaviour within male friendships. It's sad, really, that so many men are so lethally allergic to affection because an entire generation has been taught that appearing gay is the worst thing they could possibly do.
