Over 90% of men never report their assault, either. And fewer still result in a conviction. By some estimates male victims are around 100 times less likely to receive justice as female victims, and they are every bit as numerous -- they're just invisible.

This isn't a two wrongs make a right type of situation, but I hate how this is framed as a women's issue when by most measures men seem to suffer even more.

This is also not unique to sexual assault crimes. We have this thing called a presumption of innocence. Crimes go unreported and unsolved all the time for a variety of reasons.

I don't know what the solution is, but it probably starts with an honest acknowledgement of what the facts are instead of the hysterical screaming and finger pointing that we have now.

I hope one day we find a solution to the problem of rape and sexual assault without it hurting men or women.

No statistics show how many people will be Y in the future. They show how many people reported Y in the past.
