From being in a friendship with a sociopath. I know they will turn up bluntly and become your friend really fast, almost forcing it. When they are your friend they will betray you with little deeds to suck up to you, eating at your emotion, and whittling you down to their needs. I'm still a couteous dude, but it's sometimes a risk and tradegy to trust anyone.

I would like to hear your experiences, how to trust people again without too much guard, advice(as I need reminder of it), and things to watch out for?

Should I trust this girl that randomly showed up in my life, husband ditched her on their honeymoon, when she was having a life threatening kidney problem. Sociopaths like to brag, which she bragged about growing complicated fungi, and she's smart, but she pulled the compliments way too early and too extravagant. I'm weary now.
