I'm preparing to do some posts on IMD, but would like to be more inclusive of the women that help too. I have some awesome women friends that helped me when I was down an out(homeless) but the numbers compared to men that have done the same thing are 3:1. If women are biologically "empathtic" then they naturally do it to their own gender, or a safe place? Unlike men, risk takers, can actually be equal with empathizeing. Ive done my fair share of sheltering people, and many men like me still don't feel like equals. I just see more men actually taking care of the homeless epidemic. In fact a gay and disabled man(heterosexual myself) brought me completely out of homelessness. What are your thoughts and experiences?
