Pretty much sums it up. There might be a biological advantage to having relatively less muscle and more fat for endurance events though.

I may add: do you ever get the feeling that these types of articles... extrapolate the extent of female achievement against male achievement or something?

Also, how true is the claim that these female ultra-atheletes win over their male counterparts due to having "less ego" and biological differences?

There may be some things women do better. Long distance swimming is well known. Something else is observing animals, like monkeys, apes, and elephants, in the wild - a lot of books about that are written by women. Something totally different: the two 'queens of crime' of the last 100 years were Agatha Christie and Ruth Rendell.

So far, so good. But is this any reason for man-bashing? I would call it a childish way of politics but I think that insults children. And what about the many things, both sports and technical skills, men do better? Does anybody see that as a reason to ridicule women?
