All artists can say it(have violent rap lyrics) only very few(I mean really small minority) actually live it believe that. Eminem actually lived that type of shit so he had a story to tell the other ones not so much it's shock value. It's not different than when other genres were on top of the world at some point, rock, disco, pop etc.

More than anything what you hear on mainstream radio is a bunch of shock value bullshit. I get a good chuckle when people believe this is what I listen to, and I look at them sideways completely. I'm serious it's funny to watch I do listen to rap, but I don't listen to the mumble bullshit, or just stupid ass crap. In fact I'd go so far as to say a lot of at least older black folks fucking hate that shit it's annoying as hell.
