Tough call, on one hand he could be under a lot of mental duress that the military causes and this could do a lot of damage. On the other hand getting back to the country thinking he’s going to his loving family only to be crushed once he’s back could send him off the deep end. Personally I would want to know as soon as possible but I also didn’t serve
