Yourself wasting time on things not worth wasting time on at the expense of getting out of there sooner than normally with an excellent degree in engineering.

Never be alone I’m a room with a girl, always meet up in public places if you’re forced to be alone with a women for school projects during or after school hours. If it’s after school hours I would recommend the public library. If not those places make sure you’re always in the eyes of public view.

Do not befriend or date chicks you meet on campus. You will be risking your future by doing so. Don't go to frat parties or join a fraternity either.

Have a bodycamera or an audio recorder (I recommend the first one). And avoid 1-1 meeting with the opposite sex and if so, try to have another male to back you up.

Don’t party. As tempting as it is. Just don’t. I’m a third year Sophmore now, on my second full ride. I fucked up majorly my freshman year by falling into the pit of party culture.

Keep to yourself. Make friends you can study with and friends in your degree program. Utilize all the facilities available, gyms, libraries, learning centers (writing center, math center, and course specific Tudor centers are crucial to helping pass “non-passable”/weed out classes”)

When you are 21, if you aren’t already. Just hit the bars if you are feeling like you are missing out on the party culture. Just don’t party.

Be wary of clingy females asking you for help on assignments. Unless someone has something to offer you, don’t go out on a limb for anyone. A lot of chicks will hit on you as you progress through college, most girls don’t have the resolve to complete their degrees and are instead looking for husbands.

If you are horny and are about to make any decision, jerk off before you make a choice.

Study and get on a regiment. Plan things out in advance, schedule time to study and schedule time for fun. I’d urge you not to join any clubs until you are midway through your semester or in your second semester. Once you hit your stride and realize how much of a workload you can handle then it’s time to branch out. Just don’t over extend yourself.

Don’t feel any shame in changing majors. Almost all degrees require a certain amount of electives/general education courses. Use those to explore studies you are also interested in and have fun with them.

Last thing, fuck ups do happen, don’t let them sink you and always have a back up plan.

stick to school, focus on you
make a resume
be busy, make friends, be with like minded individuals who share your passion for success
take time for yourself, discover a hobby and have fun with it
get plenty of rest, study smart and not hard
be different, don't follow the crowd
take the road less traveled
explore the world and discover its' vastness
learn other about cultures
exercise, learn a martial art, stay healthy at all times
stay off of social media (no facebook, no twitter, etc.)
DTA: don't trust anybody

Most importantly, if you are going to go to a party and a girl wants to "have fun" with you while she's drunk as a skunk kindly decline and run to the f'ing hills! AVOID drugs, and kindly decline offers from females to want to just "netflix and chill" because you are a #MeToo moment away from having your life ruined!

Join your relevant engineering student group at your school ASAP (was IEEE for electrical). Will be mostly guys and they'll be super helpful to you going forward.

I'm not sure how it works at your university, but I suggest you to enroll in a few classes outside engineering school. Chances are it'll be your last chance to be in touch with learning anything other than engineering. It increases your intelligence, specially if you're able to connect the dots. You'll have the experience of meeting new people, with other interests. I did it and recommend it to you.

Don't get sucked into the party scene, avoid women, and study hard so you know your shit. It's my experience that a lot of the sciences have a sink or swim attitude. You'll get help in school, but you'll be expected to know your shit when you get out.
