The man is wrong. And the woman is right. Here is why:

Whenever someone tells you that X is true, and that the opposite of X is also true, which is impossible, that person is actually telling you to stop thinking. That is called double-speak. You contradict yourself long enough until others simply give up their reason.

So when a woman tells you that she wants you to be good to her, but in the same time she punished you for being nice and rewards the bad guy, she's telling you to stop using your reasonning skill and become her mindless drone.
