so glad alan watts came up. he's amazing. this is my favorite by him - No Hurry. what i like about watts is that he doesn't pretend to be perfect. he's not a buddha and doesn't act like one. he has never really considered himself a philosopher but rather an entertainer. what most people don't know about the man is that he was an alcoholic for most of his life, and he literally died because of it. it goes to show that a man can have many faults but that doesn't detract from what he says.
whats funny (or not funny) is that im an alcoholic also. as i type this im debating whether or not to go to the liquor store (10am) and wondering should i even try to start my car (breathalyzer) or just say fuck it and get a lyft.
