No experience - but I once had a friend in AA and another who gave up drinking.

Both struck me as independent men who were capable of not doing something they wanted to do, which I have a lot of respect for.

I stopped drinking because I wanted to better myself and MGTOW helped me with that. MGTOW saves lives.

I am not in recovery but I highly recommend. There are various groups and several all-men’s groups for AA, Overeaters Annonymous, and others. AA.org will help you find a group near you.

I'm not a big fan of AA, too much of the God stuff for me, but whatever works for someone is the way to go.

I quit drinking for two reasons. One, for my health / and because it was a matter of time before I would get a DUI or worse, and Two; to better myself, and allow the full opportunities to take hold, as opposed to filtering them through an alcoholic lens.

I quit my own way, by refusing to drink. My buddy needed to attend A.A several times a week.

Regardless of the path taken, we’re both sober (myself at three months, he at seven months.).

Seriously, though, while I was never in a program my ex was (is, I guess) and the women in those meetings bury the needle on the crazy-meter.

I'd say keep at it if you can stand it - I've seen it make people better.

Haven't done AA or NA but I have some experience from group therapy.
Talking about ghosting family, female hypergamy or atheism makes you an enemy to even the most fucked up addicts (and therapists).
Avoid if possible.
People may be ready to quit drinking but not pussy or God.
