I wanted.....want, a family. I want a child and a life other than just serial fucking women. Which, without trying to sound like a douche, I've gotten fairly effective at in my 40 years here on earth. It dawned on me how ludicrous it would be to die an old man who slept with so many women, and yet had no progeny. There HAD to be a way to navigate things to achieve this.

I met a girl. She was the best girl I'd ever met. She was/is beautiful, had/has a great relationship with her dad (a great man), always offered to split the check on dates, and was/is sexually submissive. The good times were dizzying and the low times were very few. She allowed herself to be brought into my frame, and I thought that "THIS is how successful relationship is formed!" The months rolled on.

She was SO grateful when I asked her to move in. She lived at home with her mom, because she had no money. At 38 years old, she still made less than some 18-21 yr olds that worked for me. She said she would pay for HOA fees, electrical/heat, and buy groceries while I covered the mortgage. She would handle the majority of the household chores, and I would pitch in where I could. She was...elated. I was...equally elated at the time. What a guy I am, I thought. Me and my gal.

Slowly but surely my friend....slowly but surely. Week after week, month after month. The appreciation faded and the entitlement crept in. She would complain about how I eat TOO MUCH of the groceries she buys, and would neglect to pay utility bills...which I would have to log in and pay. If I ever mentioned that I paid the lion's share, and had the foresight and dedication to save up and buy a nice house for us to enjoy- she gets indignant and throws a hissy-fit. "THAT'S NOT FAIR!" to bring up. She bitches about her job, but does nothing to remedy it. And nothing I do, buy, or say is sufficient to prevent future outbursts for more than...30 seconds.

I used to have anger and aggression issues, which I managed to sort out through years of working on myself and finding helpful, peaceful ways of dealing with life's short-comings. Running, meditation, yoga, and lifting were my aides. My life was simple, relaxing, and non-confrontational. I would cycle through 3-4 women a week, each vying for my attention with BJs, compliments, and gifts. I did a LOT of vetting, I didn't just latch onto the first girl I banged. But I wanted someone to truly love me. I wanted a happy family.

Well life ain't easy anymore. I am the frog that is getting boiled. I have stomach pains from stress, and am forced to walk on egg shells whenever she's around (or not around for that matter). That centered, easy-going personality is dissolving. She pokes and prods at every chance to get me worked up - which eventually she gets. I lose my temper, scream, throw things across the room, and have breakdowns. Every single fight is over something I did or said. I take very, very little issue with anything she does or says, but that is not requited in any sense. Sure, we still have good times. I love her - I do. But like a river stone, I'm caught in a never-ending cycle of being worn down. Now it's a coin flip as to whether we'll be up late having sex...or yelling at one another. Last night we were up late aggressively arguing for hours because I asked for a bite of her salad that I bought her. Yes - seriously.

Found out about a month ago that she is pregnant. Things have only gotten more stressful, and casually splitting from this situation is no longer an option. I'm not a fool, and did not launch into this haphazardly. And yet - I find myself in deeper misery in more instances now, than I have in many years. It hurts. A lot.
