Anyone else here dislike sleeping? Or doesn't really need much sleep?

I fucking loooooove sleep. First off it's fantastic for muscle recovery ad growth if you workout, and secondly it's just great.

There are a million reasons to never marry a woman and have children, but high on that list for me is the amount of good sleep they would steal away.

I am never ever sick when I get 8+ hours or sleep nightly. Literally the only time I get sick is if I fuck up and pull an all nighter or get like 3 hours sleep. Guaranteed I'll catch whatever cold is going around if I haven't gotten enough sleep.

I have gotten 8+ hours of sleep for the past 4 years and haven't been sick one time. If I had kids holy shit I'd be so sick and tired of feel like I had cancer.

Sleep is not well understood. Some people seem to function well with only a few hours while others need more. As long as you’re not crashing during the afternoon or taking substances to help keep you awake, consider yourself lucky.

Sleeping is overrated. I'd rather be working on projects. I wish humans only needed 1 hour of sleep to recharge like a cellphone.

What kind of workout routine / frequency are you doing?

As a software dev, it's ridiculously easy to end up still coding late at night.

If I skip or avoid consistent daily 1 hour workouts - sleep will suffer.

Nothing fancy, just Weights, cardio, pull-ups/push-ups. Etc.

That and consistent meal times.

I sleep maybe 4 hours with a series of short naps. No idea why.

I just never can sleep very long.

The total opposite. I love sleeping, I can sleep for hours, days even. I seem to function better if I operate on a 36 Hour schedule, sleep for 12 hours awake for 24 and so on.

How old are you? When I was in my teens and early 20s, I could sleep 4-5 hours and be fine.

In my 30s now. If I don't get at least 7 hours, I feel it.

Everyone is different. It may change for you over time, or it may not. Einstein slept 10 hours a day and napped, as well. Edison slept 3-4. Both brilliant.

Waking up in the morning, with no alarm clock, and no where to be. Possibly even drunk, giving myself a good full body stretch, oh yea! Rarely happen since I work everyday but sleep is a getaway from life.

I listened to a podcast recently about the importance of sleep, they even talked about people who think they are just fine on 4-5 hours are actually suffering consequences for not getting at least 6 hours sleep. One example is sleep is when your brain clears out the plaques that cause Alzheimer's, a consistent lack of sleep is highly correlated with getting Alzheimer's. Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher used to talk about how little sleep they got, both died of Alzheimer's. Sounded like all kinds of potential health issues come from a lack of sleep. Just something to think about, everyone will do what they want, I have had issues sleeping and have found my health improved dramatically when my sleep improved.

I get by on a couple hours a week. I would prefer more, but insomnia is a bitch, and I am not much for pills.

I don’t like sleeping because i always start stressing about all of the other things i could do with that time. If i get ”A good night’s sleep” i wake up tired as hell and just feel like shit in general. But if i sleep for 3-5 hours i feel fine and ready to go in the morning, it’s weird.
