Not sure what the point of this is. US was racist in the '40s - most of Europe was as well. We've recognized that as a bad thing over time, and changed it. I'm sure there's probably thousands of such examples when you go back more then half a century.

Any military graveyard is a much more blatant example of male disposability. This just smells of racebaiting.

Never forget that cops are the ultimate white-knights and this could still happen today. I suggest watching the Forensic Files episode "Fishing for the Truth" to see how confessions can be coerced. It's on youtube, netflix, etc.

Actually no one knows if he committed the crime or not,it's only known that he didn't have a fair trial.
