Girls spent hours on the phone. Essentially women where the same but it wasn't as evident because they where able to gaslight more effectively. The was no way for men to get an outside confirmation of their suspicions.

This is why TRP and MGTOW couldn't take off till the start of the internet.

I think social media is one of the main reasons modern girls are like this, instant attention giving device in the palm of your hand does wondrous work on your ego. Regular girls bombarded with messages "lookin good sexy :)" and then she expects the hot guys because obviously the reason she is getting attention from all these guys is because she is a goddess ahaha

I'm in my 40s so all of my teens and most of my 20s were social media and phone free. There was no pre judging someone from photos etc, getting to know someone was done face to face and slowly - after two months dating there might have been just eight dates, none of this 'week in and have spent fifty hours texting, basically living together as "we know each other so well" crap' that some guys do now. The downside was a few times I met a girl, really got interested, then didnt see her for months. Nothing much lost in the long rum but it was sometimes annoying

All i know is, back when I was growing up in the 90s and 2000s, anyone who spent too much time on a computer/the internet was considered a loser, no life, cant get a date, etc. Popular girls spent all week obsessively planning out which cool spot they wouls be going to on Friday and Saturday night. Getting a date for Friday night was a MUCH bigger issuw because you wanted everyone to see you at the cool spots together. Women tied up the phone all day sure, but it was co sidered fashionable to leave it ringing for a long while to make yourself seem busier than you really were. Nerds were people who did well in school and geeks were people who spent too much time on the computer/gadgets.

Now, ALL of that has disappeared. It sounds like a terrible place, I know, ut this was CULTURE. Worldwide culture that everybody thought made sense. Its like it never existed now. Peoplw who grew up in the 90s dont even remember how we used to act. I really mourn for these memories that will never be a reality again. Its like watching your childhood being erased before your very eyes.

I'm 38 and am old enough to remember. Women were still self-absorbed with their friends and family (who do you think they are mostly on the phone with even now?). They also had regular phones. I used to hear of men who would get annoyed finding their wives talking on the phone when they got home from work (the house in a mess, no dinner prepared etc.). Same old shit. But yes, it's worse now because of female nature. I wouldn't blame technology per se as smartphones can be very useful (even for men). But it takes some strength of character not to be glued to them. Most women (and some men), obviously, don't have this.

If we're talking way back in time like the then they were probably still sluts. Hence why so many black and mexican men were lynched for "seducing" or "raping" them when white women were really just being skanks. At least that is my theory behind it.

I'm 40. Back then, only really skanky girls gave me the splinter in the mind that they were likely talking/seeing other men on the side. My first girlfriend was pre-cell phone and was a good girl that knew how to act. I 100% trusted her.

Also, only kinda skanky girls dressed provocatively. Now, almost all women are like that. For guys that remember something different, it fucks with the mind.

When I was in school there was no internet. Mobile phones were just becoming a thing by the time I was finishing off high school, and I'm talking about those brick ass phones, not even the Nokia 3310 generation but parody size phones, hardly anyone owned them. Fuck back then (some) people had car phones > Jesus not even a wireless headset, you operated the car phone like it was a regular ass old school telephone.

I digress. Women weren't any better. More importantly the social pyramid was exactly the same, literally nothing has changed. Chads still dominated the scene, and Unicorns didn't exist.

Social media and online dating has in a way fucked up things. Now it's not common (at least in Central Europe) to go out hunting for chicks. People here go out with friends and meet people this way. I guess lone wolves are expected to use dating sites to find a partner.

If it makes you feel any better, I think that most people I know have mostly abandoned Facebook. Certainly the whole popularity contest thing has died out. And before you were expected to have FB or people would think you're weird. Now it's acceptable to say, yeah I lost interest in it.

Before social media people were more civil to each other, life was about doing things not taking a photo of you doing it, just living the moments.

Now everything is like some big pissing contest with selfies, imagine walking around doing duck face before social media LMFAO.

Still there was hypergamy and the CC and general shitty treatment of the beta guys even back then before it become meta.

Sounds like Black Mirror S3E1 (brilliant). I am old, so I remember pre-internet dating. We got drunk and made out in bathrooms, and..talked. Listened to a lot of 'records' while smoking weed, went to a lot of concerts. It was fun :(
