Focus on yourself, build your hobbies, put effort into something and get good at it, and hopefully you'll meet people with similar interests and goals. I'm 27 now and what you're describing is what happened to me, I don't see those friends anymore, they're focused on starting families, buying houses and I'm just not into that life at all. I'm solitary, creative, lost virginity at 23 by choice, like you I shrugged off a lot of girls until I started to feel the pressure of virginity around 23. Met a girl and dated her for 2 years, it was a hard relationship but learned a lot about myself. Focused on creative pursuits now and just trying to make enough money to maintain myself.

You're 20? That means time to not make mistakes. People will say "it's the age to make mistakes". Don't listen to those cunts. All I would do all day every day if I was 20 is focus on not making mistakes. They can be very bad and effect your whole life, and the next few years is the age you'll make them, as you're still a kid. It's my opinion that adulthood begins a few he years later. It makes a big difference. I'm about 24 and I have learned so much since. It's like the difference between 16 to 20.

You are not limited to hanging out with your current friends. Explore other groups that might interest you. I love cars too, maybe join a car enthusiast club, hang out in online communities with others who share the same interest as you. You are not left behind, you just went separate ways with your friends that's all.

It's not being left behind. It's about going your own way. Yes, you are correct in observing that your friends are going in the direction of relationshits, drama and eventual divorce rape as they near and pass their 30s. Why the fuck would you want to follow that?

It's bound to happen, These were these two guys who were like my brothers and we'd been friends since 1st grade, until their marriages that is.

We would hang out all most every single day, after school, after college, after work, we picked the same college so we could be together, of course everyone studied whatever they were inclined to. Everyone called us the three musketeers because we would always be together up to some nonsense all the time. Now, both of them are married and we meet maybe once in 2-3 months, I'm single, they've changed, whenever we meet it's just reminiscing about the old days, I plenty have of other friends but it feels like I lost these two dudes man, they're some other people now and it's nice to meet up and talk about the old days but we are not 50, we're 28! I'd much rather be creating memories.

I think you're missing the fact that if you get into a relationship you'll have less time for your friends also. So you'll have even less time to spend with them and they will have less to spend with you. That's a lose lose.

I'm going to save you some time with this. You are 20 and the friends you have today probably won't be your friends in five or ten years. It's not to say you are going to be alone at all. You are all in different points in your life. This is going to happen until you are dead. I am 30 and have gone through so many different sets of friends. People who said they would know me until we are dead. I am not mad it didn't work out that way. It's just how it is.

Find out what friends you actually like to hang out with and enjoy that time you have. Some old friends might show up from the past as you get older.

Since you are into cars why don't you try to go to more shows? I have no clue where you live but this is the time of year for car shows, and all different cars.

For now, keep focusing on what makes you happy. Almost all things in life are fleeting and you don't need to waste time and energy on what is not important.
