It's called "moderation". Drink only as much as you think you're able to handle. Drink because it relaxes and refreshes you, not to act like a troglodyte.

Yes. Drinking sucks. There are better options out there. At least in my case alcohol makes me feel like a “God” which is as stupid as it reads. That’s why I don’t drink often.

More power to you friend. I prefer to sit down in silence with one nice glass of scotch and a book at the end of the day and savor it. But for those that have trouble stopping you're right.

I will occasionally drink (as in once a month or so). But from impacts to brain function, liver function, blood sugar levels, obesity, heart disease, and impairing inhibitions, alcohol is a dangerous slippery slope.

Sure, some guys can moderate. I've learned to. But if you feel it 'calling you', then you might be a closet alcoholic. I had struggled for a long time, and it was through a long-term sugar detox (really minimizing refined sugar AND refined wheat / carbohydrates) that I could see what a pull alcohol had on me.

Addictive tastes and dopamine rewards create self-reinforcing UNCONSCIOUS behaviors.

Meh, I drink, you just have to learn how to drink. I like booze, in my retirement project I have set up a small winery, beer and schnaps distillery. But as everything, each person knows what is best for himself.

Your body and brain loves drugs. Caffeine(stimulants) is just as much of a drug as alcohol(depressants) is.

Orgasms from masturbating or from sex your brain and body received a smorgasbord of drug like dopamine, oxytocin, endorphins, testosterone, prolactin, these happiness hormones cause the post nut clarity.

Blank statements like most people don't do drugs is just plain wrong.

So in the end if you like doing drugs pick good drugs not alcohol(one of the more dangerous drugs) just because it's "legal" doesn't make it good.

I don't have a problem if someone chooses to end the night with a glass of whiskey or scotch or whatever, though the idea of binge drinking is pretty stupid.

That said, I don't drink. I could if I choose to, but I'd rather keep my costs down and spend that money on things I actually need.

Yes!! I haven't touched a drop of alcohol in 26 years. Don't miss it. Not only does it make you do stupid things but it's a waste of a lot more money than most people would admit. I challenge every drinker here to honestly add up how much they they spend a month on alcohol then multipile times 12 for the amount per year and then by the number of years you've been drinking. Then add smoking and any drug use. You'll be stunned by the amount of money wasted.

My body hates alcohol. Horrible hangovers just after 4 beers, nausea, depression, wacky thoughts. I love the taste of beer so I would rather not exile it from my life, I usually just save it for the weekend and have one or two.
