There is a house. It is infested with termites to the point where is it dangerous and unhealthy to live in it. One person decides to treat the house, get rid of the termites and replace the damaged parts of the structure. The next guy says “fuck it” , builds a little cabin in the woods where he is perfectly comfortable and content and watches from a distance as the original structure collapses under its own weight.

You sit down to play Monopoly with two other boys and a girl.

The girl insists that you play with special house rules:

(1) Every time you pass Go, instead of collecting $200, you must give $500 to her. If at any time you do not have $500 in cash, you must sell improvements and/or mortgage your properties until you have enough to make the payment. If you still do not have enough, you go directly to Jail.

(2) If she lands on Free Parking, any player she chooses must transfer half of his cash and all of his properties and their improvements to her.

(3) You must play the thimble, iron, or wheelbarrow.

One boy recognizes the rules are unfair, but he keeps playing anyway while complaining to the girl and begging her to change them, which she never does.

The second boy tells him to shut up because the rules are fine. He trades every property he buys to the girl for below the purchase price and high fives her every time she collects rent.

You, being MGTOW, get up from the game, go home, and play fetch with your dog.

Trying to change the system is basically activism, trying to draw attention to our cause, protesting, getting laws changes, raising awareness. etc. It's basically hoping the system will start treating men better.

MGTOW is basically walking away from the system, minimizing contact with it as much as possible. We don't bother with trying to find girlfriends, relationships, marriages, etc., we just go off and do our own thing. This way, we avoid all the pitfalls of that.

We spend our money on ourselves for what we like, not to impress women. Some of us buy motorcycles, sports cars, etc., while others, like myself, live modest lifestyles. I drive a Corolla and live in a 2 bedroom condo. I don't have cable TV, or buy fancy stuff. I did recently buy a Citizen atomic watch, but that's about it.

My other indulgences are tech stuff like my entertainment center, computer, and other electronics. We don't try to change things, just walk away and live our lives in peace. Whether or not this will bring about change, who knows? After all, money makes the world go around and if we aren't spending it on stuff to attract money, that will have an impact if enough of us do it.

That's just my opinion of MGTOW is about.
