Great post. Well said. Dumb people, dumb choices.

and not-even-choices. When you're too stupid to understand consequences and too dumb to remember to do a thing or not do a thing, there is no choice.

A bit of a rambling about the animal lives you mention...
The lack of mental humanity (which I'd define as higher thought, especially the ability to extrapolate and "see" across time) with a lot of people is absolutely astounding.
I can't believe it's always been this bad, or our countries would never have been great or had golden ages. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there's always been a large group of people like this. But something seems to be fuelling it today, squinting lighter fluid at the pile of wood - and now the majority of it is alight, with only some patches around the edges remaining damp.
One of the greatest human accomplishments is to transcend external/heterogenous/emotional/animalistic thought and behaviour, even just for a short burst of time, and have a clear thought or make a sound decision. I'm not putting down our baser nature or saying we should ignore it - of course not! But we should put it aside temporarily when it's best to do so. When we have to make a decision that significantly affects others, or a decision that will bring far-reaching consequences for ourselves, or we just want to think properly about anything to get closer to the truth.
The order for most of most people's actions is desires/impulses/emotions --> thought --> action. But often we just get desires/impulses/emotions --> action --> thought. That's dangerous for yourself and others, the thought comes after the action and serves to rationalise/excuse the action after it's been done. Also, sometimes it is best to have thought come first, as I have said, but people like these have never learnt when and how to do that, and really don't do it much at all.
But for those of us who often, even just for a minute, use our uniquely human power, the benefits are great (mainly negative benefits i.e. a avoiding of unnecessary pain). The shock of how a very large group of people don't do this is also great.
People like her and her ex-current-ex-boyfriend now-mating-partner half-Chad - they are not extreme examples (they're not that rare) but they are fortunately worse than most. Notice she hates him and says he's a bastard but also makes up many excuses for not wanting to leave him (quite likely she loves him). Notice how he's exactly the same. Neither seem to use reason much, especially not her. Well, she uses loads of reasoning - but only to justify her deranged feelings and dumb behaviour to others.
Ah well, rant over. I'm not being misanthropic (although I realise this might sound like I am). I actually love humans, which is why I prefer it when we act like humans. We have the potential for so much more than this, I think all of us do. That's why I'm baffled by stuff like this, I understand it's because many people act purely off of emotions and/or external influences, but I don't know why people do that when they have the capacity NOT to. And when it's so clearly detrimental to them, you'd think they'd instinctively give something else a try rather than rinse and repeat the same crap endlessly. One of the most common and the best example by far is guys getting married three or more times!
I can't believe it's always been this bad, or our countries would never have been great or had golden ages.
Those moments in time were rare. It's always been this way with the exception of the golden ages which were rare and wonderful in one way or another but shall not return for a long time.

You've explained well a worldview I've held for some time. The difference being that the conviction that most humans are little more than their base impulses - capable but not interested in introspection - absolutely drove me to misanthropy.
Good post.

If you want to see an almost perfect example of the devastating outcome of the above, just watch the movie "The Big Short."
What an eye-opener. I fear rampant greed-driven, instant gratification herd mentality is going to fuck us all over eventually.

People living their lives like an animal would, letting their impulses dictate their choices but having to deal with human consequences.
This is what feminism/matriarchy is: a return to an "animalistic" way of life... that is to say pre-civilization (because civilization REALLY is all about patriarchy, men {fathers} "controlling" the sexual access to women {their daughters} to prevent this exact kind of thing).

I wouldn't either anyhow - last time I did I realized for half the price I could have bought better meat at the deli across the street, a bag of buns or bread or tortilla bread and made my own healthier, larger beef sandwich with probably only an added 20 minutes to the time to have it ready to eat. I literally could have put it together at a bus stop too, not bothered to take it home to my kitchen.

One of my ex's stopped taking the pill and told me a week later, I freaked, dumped her on the spot and paid for the bitches abortion a month later.
[–]MuscleCarz15 points16 points17 points 10 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link
Your lucky.
One of my exes stopped AFTER we started having relationship troubles (I should've stopped trusting her right there) but were still having sex here and there.
Months later, she proudly announces she's pregnant. I did the math, looking at how long since our last encounter, then got served by the DA's office several months later for welfare back pay.
Demanded a blood test since I was 99% sure there was no way I was the father.
Took almost a year for the test results. Blood test showed I wasn't the Father.
That's when I got a vasectomy. Smartest thing I ever did.

I just had to emphasize that point. I really don't understand why more men don't get it done. It's an inexpensive, fairly quick surgery (yes, it's surgery, but a lot of routine dental procedures are worse) with a relatively quick recovery period. I always get a good chuckle when someone makes a comment starting with "when you have kids..."
Even if you want kids some day, freezing sperm isn't that expensive and still gives you full control of your fertility. If you cannot afford to freeze sperm, you sure as fuck cannot afford to pay for an unplanned child.
It's not easy to get one. It took me 5 years, 7 doctors, and a trip to a different state before I could get mine.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
At least you tried (and eventually succeeded). A lot of men are immediately dismissive of the idea and don't even bother, leaving themselves open to an extreme level of liability.
true. I would say it's good to look into old tribal methods of sperm destruction like high heat. Not hot enough to cook your balls but it's warm. Things like that won't last forever but for a while those swimmers will not impregnate, so it seems. I'm sure there's a failure rate but I'm also sure if you did that and used condoms then you can probably stop worrying if the bitch is off the pill and lying about it.
I'd worry about if she's got STDs from 10 other chads that week or month.
[–]lastlaugh50 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I got mine at age 23. I knew 99% of doctors wouldn't sterilize a young childfree man so I lied. I told them I was 33 with three kids and paid $850 cash (no way to verify identity) for a distally open ended vasectomy to reduce the risk of PVP syndrome. That was 9 years ago. So worth it, we have enough humans anyway.
[–]MuscleCarz0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]oldredder3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
freezing sperm is actually pretty expensive compared to just producing it and using condoms.
On the other hand many doctors refuse to do vasectomies until a man's too old or has had several children already.
[–]RetiredTimeHo 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Why should doctors be legally allowed to do this? How fucking insane is our society that an adult male with the means can't even get fucking birth control if he wants it.
Imagine the outrage if women weren't allowed to make decisions about their reproduction and were denied birth control or abortions?
How can you force them to do it?
Can you do the operation all by yourself? No? Then I guess you need a doctor. Which means you can't force the doctor to do it.
It's the will of society to make doctors be this way and in some places doctors will lose their licence, controlled by the state, for being too easy on giving out vasectomies which means their entire career is burned to the ground early.
The red pill is truth. It isn't happy truth. Just truth.
[–]MuscleCarz0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
Freezing sperm isn't that expensive.
Also, cracks me up when I hear "how expensive a reversal procedure is." Shit, if you think of how how expensive it is to have a child in the first place (250k over 18 years) if you can't afford to have a reversal, then why the fuck even consider having a kid?
But I digress...
One of the upsides of a V is its also nice being able to have "condom-free" sex when in a monogamous relationship. For the woman, I suspect the sensation of sex with or without a condom is not much different, from a friction/feeling/sensation standpoint. Feels great for them either way.
However, for the male, IMO, wearing even the "sensitive/ultra-thin" condoms--from a sensation/feeling-dulling perspective--produces an unmistakable barrier that can be likened to the sensation of kissing with a baggie over your head.

You suspect wrong. Women have told me repeatedly that sex is much, much better skin-on-skin. That's why they want the pill so they can keep fucking without the condom. Condom sex is a little boring for women too, the lack of sensation just isn't the same.
the lack of sensation just isn't the same.
But IMO, I still feel from a sensation perspective--the feeling of penetrative sex is arguably much better for her than him.

[–]MuscleCarz6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link
Nope. Once I was disallowed as the Father, the County DA's office had to move on to "the next guy" who ever he was (Apparently, she jumped right on the carousel when we were on the skids).
They (DA's office) never garnished my wages or anything, but showed me I apparently owed about 50k in back support for medical, welfare, etc. However, because we were just dating, not married I was able to immediately contested being the Father and demanded the blood test.
As a side note, I called her (she was living out of State) after finding out I wasn't the Father and told her how I always treated her with respect and never cheated on her and what she did to me was completely callous, insidious and just plain selfish...how, if they had garnished my extremely low income, I would have basically been living on the street. She always knew I did not want children.
The whole thing opened my eyes for good. Never, ever, trust a woman when it comes to her saying she's on the pill...ever.
I knew it fell on deaf ears, but it still felt good giving her a piece of my mind.
[–]FanofLemmy1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I'm glad you didn't get burned I'm the end. Sorry to hear you had to go through that, though. Thanks for taking the time reply!
I bet it must have felt good. She'll get hers, don't worry. Unfortunately the kids will suffer because of it. Be thankful they aren't your kids!
Did you have to pay the $50,000, or because you contested you weren't the father you didn't have to pay anything? Not sure how that stuff works.

Careful, last time I communicated with an ex (I told her no, you're not taking my dog from me) she filed a restraining order against me a year later claiming I threatened to harm her. Yes, she really waited in silence for a whole year to file a restraining order based on lies. Women have mastered the art of psychological torture.
Funny thing is, ANY woman whom with we've had contact can do this at ANY time, and thanks to the internet, we're finding out "false accusations" are happening a lot more than we suspected. Scary, isn't it?

Oh my fucking god, see how aggressive the government is when it comes to extracting money from a man? Fucking bullshit. Smart man for demanding a DNA test. Did they make you pay for the test and why did it take them a whole year? Fuck the government.
Didn't have to pay, but sat in a room FILLED to the ceiling with boxes and boxes of blood samples of contested paternities when they drew my blood. Blew my mind.
I can't believe it (anymore) when I see guys just take it on "good faith" that a given child is theirs, just because she says so.

I've done this once in Vegas. Not on purpose but it was a one night stand and I told her only my nickname and we exchanged zero information and parted ways.
We started with a condom but the sex was so fucking wild that eventually it came off and we continued anyway.
On the drive back to California I thought to myself if this woman was pregnant there's no possible way she would ever be able to find or identify me and considering this was years ago I possibly have a little mulatto love child walking the earth.

My ex(?) (confusing time right now) is furious at me for missing pills and getting pregnant. I didn't want to get pregnant, it was a mistake and I regret it.
ROTFLMAO... yeah, she just "forgot" to take her BC pills, riiiight.
EDIT: By the way, the easy way to expose THAT particular lie is to ask "How many? How many pills did you 'miss'?" If the reply is some ambiguous "I don't know" or some "iffy" number... and not a specific and DEFINITE number (in which case all but the most recent of those "missed" pills should actually still be in the dispenser*) -- then it's a flat out LIE.
* The pills aren't don't come in some ambiguous "bottle" like aspirin or vitamins -- they all come in a packaged and a virtually brainless "daily dispenser" of one form or another, and the pills are to be taken in proper and specific order (and ALL women receive "idiot proof" instructions on how to do that from the doctor/clinic -- you'd have to be essentially a literal "moron" {i.e. IQ so low that you're unable to dress yourself} to NOT comprehend how to use them).
Ergo, the only ways women will "miss/skip" taking a pill is either (A) on purpose, OR (B) because they went somewhere on a trip and left the package (in which case, DUH, you KNOW you left it behind *and you TELL your partner* so that you DON'T have vaginal sex) -- OR (C) the third alternative is that they were sooooo blacked out drunk/hungover (and/or stoned out of their frigging gourd on drugs) that they didn't know what day it was, etc.
He thinks I'm trying to trap him into marriage or something because I told him I don't want to raise a baby in a hostile enviroment with a man who doesn't love me and want me around.
He's 100% spot on.
Also note the "or something"... which is to eventually go after him for child support (which she will... that's her backup plan):
I suggested I could move back to my home state to have my family help,
Riiight, the "family" will help.
and he got all pissy about it. He claims he's scared for the kid because if I can't remember to take a pill I won't remember other stuff for the kid.
That's a damned SOLID POINT. Any woman who is so incompetent as to "forget" to take several consecutive days worth of her BC pills, is also rather obviously NOT the sharpest tool in the shed, and has hardly demonstrative the kind of competence necessary to properly raise a child.
Of course that is accepting the claim that she "forgot".
I have never had a kid before and after this mess I never want to again. It was a mistake and he's constantly rubbing it in my face, as if I don't know I fucked up and feel horrible about it already.
Wow... just imagine the "WONDERFUL LIFE" that child is in store for; given it's mother's attitude and definition of it: "this mess" and "a mistake". Instead of fessing up to what she REALLY DID (i.e. skipped the BC pills on purpose to try to "trap" Chad into marrying her), she's going to persist with her bullshit about it being "accident/mistake" and end up massively fucking over the child emotionally & psychologically (as well as financially, etc).
As for having one's face "constantly rubbed in it" does this chick have even the LEAST CLUE what is involved in raising a child? And what the next 18+ years are going to entail?
I pity the poor child.
Agreed. She knew EXACTLY what she was doing and just plain stopped, and is hamster-lying about it after the fact.
In all likelihood, yes.
There's a good chance that she not only stopped taking them, but probably hadn't even gotten a refill on them for a month or more likely multiple months.
BTW, that's the kind of thing that should actually rather easy to verify -- or at least for her to be able to provide proof (of at least having HAD the pills in her possession for the time in question) -- there ought to be some receipt or record somewhere, and she could certainly obtain a copy if she wanted.
Again, they are NOT like bottles of aspirin of other "over the counter" medications that you just randomly pluck off the shelf at Wal-Mart and pay for cash at the counter; pharmacies (even Planned Parenthood Clinics) are only supposed to dispense/sell them via prescription, and that means there is a proverbial "paper trail" of when and where she obtained them (or NO paper trail if she stopped).
Men really need to stop being completely ignorant IDIOTS when it comes to female birth control.
Seriously, if some chick says she's "on the pill", men really OUGHT to say: "Let's see the dispenser/package then." Because if she's REALLY taking them, then it ought to be in her purse, or at worst in her medicine cabinet -- they are a "daily" pill after all. And if she begs off and says "oh I had "the implant" or "the shot" etc -- then she ought to have the paperwork on it.
But of course most men AREN'T ever going to do that...
I think the real game changer -- and about the only way to put a REAL END to all of this "accidental" pregnancy bullshit -- is going to end up being the RISUG/Vasalgel thing.
This isn’t like a Depo-Provera shot you have to get once every few months either—once injected, the sperm-filtering gel would remain in place for 10 years. If the recipient decides he wants to take a shot at having kids at any point in between, all it takes is another injection of sodium bicarbonate (aka baking soda) to dissolve the liquid, and the sperm factory becomes operational again. It may sound too good to be true, but clinical and animal trials in India have shown that the method works with near-perfect results and no serious side effects. And unlike the birth control pill and condoms, which have a real-life efficacy rate far lower than the ‘perfect use’ scenarios advertised on the packages, the birth control injection, like an IUD, comes with virtually no room for human error. “There’s nothing for you as a person to screw up,” said Aaron Hamlin, executive director of the Male Contraceptive Initiative. “When you have a method that doesn’t require you to remember to do anything, like Vasalgel, you get the injection into the vas deferens and walk out the door. After all that’s done, when it’s time for you to have sex, everything you’ve had to do is already done.”

You might find it unbelievable but when I see how many other super-important things women forget, like not running a red, not ignoring traffic to do make-up in the mirror, forgetting money or keys or other medication that's life-saving I realize many of them are genuinely stupid.
I look around at the men and realize it's a smaller portion but still a huge, huge total fraction of men are just as stupid.

Interesting notes about pills, seeing as my wife was on some for a few years.
Missing 1 pill most likely won't make you fertile. The drugs introduce hormones that trick your body into thinking you are already pregnant, ergo, no eggs get released, no periods. (not all pills do this obviously, but a lot of them do) In order to be fertile, you have to miss a shit ton of them to the point where you are having periods. This wasn't a "oops, I missed a pill and got pregnant." This was a "oops, I missed a fucking month of pills and got pregnant."
Even after you quit taking the pills, sometimes it takes months to get fertile again. Our Dr said that it normally takes around 6 months for a woman to start having her periods again after quitting the pills.
This lady didn't merely forget to take her pills every now and then. She straight up quit taking them. IF she 'forgot' to take them, what is she going to do with the kid? 'Forget' him a daycare for a couple days? IF she just quit taking them, she's a lying and manipulative, and she can't take responsibility for her actions.
Look at how she disses her BF. On and on about how he puts her down and he's an alcoholic, but is there any mention that she was dumb enough to stay with him? People calling him a dead-beat, when she's too freakin stupid to A. take a pill daily and B. fuck a guy that treats her like shit.
I've got more sympathy for the guy than I do with her.
But is there any mention that she was dumb enough to stay with him? People calling him a dead-beat, when she's too freakin stupid to A. take a pill daily and B. fuck a guy that treats her like shit.
A really cool Psychologist (can't remember his name) calls this "dog-house syndrome." Wherein no matter how much the FEMALE has contributed to the issue, all focus of blame falls on the MALE.

I've seen that happen again and again and again. Girl I know on FB talks about how crappy her Ex-bf is and how he sent their kid home with a shirt that said "Mom should have swallowed". She has 2 kids with 2 different guys that are both 'deadbeats'.
Everyone rallies around her giving her support, but noone calls her on her bs by saying, if he was such a dick, why did you fuck him without BC or condoms? If I bring it up, I'd get crucified.

The reality is if you aren't willing to have a baby, you shouldn't be having sex. At the very least you shouldn't be trusting women with contraception if yer going to have sex with someone you aren't willing to have a baby with. I know I definitely haven't lived by that in the past, but I'm sure we can agree that it is the logical way. Thankfully in modern times you can just get a vasectomy.
[–]oldredder4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's not the logical way - that's the way of the eunuch. That's a choice on the table but it's a choice that robs a man of being able to enjoy life at all in most cases.
Men should have sex and enjoy it and not be tied to babies without voluntarily deciding we want to be. That's how life always used to be and too fucking bad if women & children didn't like it. Too damn bad, I say.
Interestingly enough, when my wife was on her BC, I was in charge of it. Set an alarm every night, and when it went off, "honey, take your pill."
It's funny reading a lot of the comments on that post. "The woman isn't solely responsible for BC! He should be wearing a condom!"
You go into relationships with certain expectations. She says she's taking BC AND you see her doing so, odds are, she's taking BC. She's taking responsibility for that. Then she completely fucks up here responsibility, and he's the ass for pointing it out to her.
THEN he says, you know what, I put a baby in you, I want to take responsibility for that. So far it seems that the only person capable of raising that kid is this Chad.

Typical. A guy is a complete fucking retard, and women enthusiastically date that retard. I've worked with so many guys like that. Low intelligence, constant money problems, complain about how much they argue with their gf, but talk about having kids with that same gf. It's just mind boggling. If you trash that woman every god damn day, why are you still dating her? Women, same question. What is wrong with people?
[–]andiswearrrr 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Because they're weak and don't want to be alone. That's why. I work with them, both men and women, and that's the god honest reason. They all live in an economy where they can't get anyone better. They're trash.

Yup. Can't be like that if you want the rest of your life to be good but men who like the validation and notch count just do it.
I've had those options, many more women came for me than I go for, but with so many who were not single, or even married I didn't want to face the possible fight/violence of a chasing husband. Not worth it. Not for sex.
[–]MuscleCarz2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I shudder when I think how lucky I was that I didn't knock up any of the girls I had unprotected sex with in high school.
I didn't want to face the possible fight/violence of a chasing husband.
Dated a girl in college. Seemed nice enough. Started making out and getting ready to move onto sex. Figured the next date was game on. However, before our next date (on campus) she confides her ex husband is in state prison and she's afraid he's going to start stalking her again when he gets out. I ask her what he's in for? Beating her and threatening to kill her.
That was the last time I talked with her. :-)

Typical commoner "pleb" shit. I'm so glad I don't associate with people like this anymore... Unfortunately my tax dollars do, but if you ask me it's worth the price to keep them from breaking into my car for ashtray change.
could be. I opted for no car at all so there'd none to break into and for now, re-adjusting what appears as my income to ensure what I pay in tax is very low. I'm always armed so if little chadlets decide to rob me I'll smash their kneecaps then stab them very fast and it's over. walk away like it never happened.

Its so sad and enraging to see our tax dollars/pounds go to people like this, who not only exploit the system, but are proud to have done so.
Absolute scum of the earth... doesn't matter whether its a male or female doing it, its the same type of scumbag.

When I drive to work in the morning, I have to drive through the seedier part of town and see Mothers walking their kids to school...some with 3, 4 or 5 kids in tow, with one in the stroller.
I can't help thinking, Jesus, you live in the shittiest part of town. Ground zero for gangs, drugs, violence and crime, yet you keep popping out kids like there's no tomorrow...
It's like they don't give a shit about the quality of life of their kids, after all, they must know their kids are going to have direct exposure and influence of their direct shitty environment where they live. Drugs, crime, gangs.
One would like to think they'd hold off, save a few bucks, move to a HEALTHIER neighborhood and have one or two kids that have a fighting fucking chance at a better life. But no. They just keep poppin' em' out like there's no tomorrow like lazy, selfish, welfare sucking drones--using the lame excuse that their culture says so, or their religion says contraception is a sin. Never mind the outcome for the kids.
[–]abandonedthrowaway320 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Never mind the outcome for the kids.
Its in God's plan.
xD
. I suggested I could move back to my home state to have my family help, and he got all pissy about it. He claims he's scared for the kid because if I can't remember to take a pill I won't remember other stuff for the kid
Good point... but so dumb of him to go into the relationship in the first place xD

" I didn't want to get pregnant, it was a mistake"- WOW!
"attempted to get an abortion but didnt go through with it. "-again WOW
"BUT he says the only way to make things work is to live together and raise the kid. I don't agree"- WOW
[–]RetiredTimeHo 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I didn't want to get pregnant, it was a mistake and I regret it. I attempted to get an abortion but didnt go through with it.
lol wtf?
attempted to get an abortion but didn't go through with it? then you didn't fucking attempt anything. you thought about it for a second then decided not to.

The correct thing for her to do is to quickly find a beta, and tell him it's his child.
Then she can have her cake and eat it too!!!

It's not easy to get one. It took me 5 years, 7 doctors, and a trip to a different state before I could get mine.
