I guess we're supposed to feel bad about being born or some shit..I don't understand it honestly..they just keep making terms and shit up so everyone thinks they are some social unique snowflake with problems that no one else could understand because it only applies to their specific unique brand of lifestyle.. used to be simple, now everyone seems to think they need a special label to stand out

It's not an acronym. Feminists appropriated a term from chemistry to avoid calling non-trans people normal. Yes, it's used as a slur in the "cis, straight man" context but women are "cisgendered" as well if they aren't trans.

Wait, so let me get this straight (pun intended):

A completely arbitrary prefix (cis) for male and female was invented to distinguish people who identify with the gender they were born as, from people who do not? Do I understand this correctly?

Well, I mean, I'm a gay man but I'm "cisgender". You would never tell me apart from any of your football bros. I am, inside, the same 250lb tattooed, ripped, cowboy/factory/dock/construction worker that I am on the outside. I love the MGTOW philosophy. Fuck women's needs. I have female friends but they don't get my money or dreams.

I don't know if I'm technically "allowed" in the MGTOW movement--but I definitely believe everything about it.

Everytime I hear the word CIS I die a little inside. Not so much to kill me, but just enough to make me think I'll die of heart failure the second after feminists have completed their objective of destroying what's left of men.

Cis is to trans as hetero is to homo. The etymology makes sense; it's just weird to use it as a slur. Which is why intelligent social justice warriors have decided to be consistent and include hetero in there too when calling out those darn cishet white males.

They're a small minority as far as I can tell but they're still setting a precedence for its use and I wish they'd stop because I want to maybe use the word "cis" sometimes without it being seen as a bad thing.

CIS, nigger, fag, It's the same really. Shaming language will always be used. the best way to deal with it is to call out when it is used, like you said.
