Alright, so before everyone get their Tiki torches, hear me out.

I've recently been a bit more into Paranoia in Terms of Psychological research, and I've found a few interesting points that, in some ways, very much correlate to elements of MGTOW mindsets, or in general to the whole gender hysteria and it's connected gender 'war', so to speak. Paranoia, in psychology, has several key elements, such as (Credit to PT);

Confirmation Bias:

Basically, you only seek out information that validates your train of thinking/belief system. In terms of the whole Gender debate that'd be ; Feminists only seeking out examples of how Men 'suck', ignoring evidence against said point, visa versa.

Persecutory delusion:

All that goes wrong in your life, goes wrong because of whatever group of people/shadowy organization/coalition you've convinced yourself of is against you. In the Gender debate, that'd be things like the Pay gap, Rape culture, etc.

Paranoid projection.

Boils down to, You hate/dislike a person/group of individuals, and you pre-emptively go 'They hate me'. This could again apply to MGTOW folk and Feminists alike. Feminists implying 'rape culture' and 'mysoginy' (woman hating) because they someday started hating Men through their own life experience. so on and so forth.

There's a few more but you get the Idea. So now I'm basically wondering; if having a Paranoid mind is classified as an illness if it goes into the extremes (PPD ends up provoking Anxienty/Depression due to a negative world view), One could start arguing that any political, and especially gender based 'extreme' views, fall under the definition of Paranoia.

I'm kind of asking myself if what MGTOW is producing in terms of terminology and world-view pieces isn't becoming completely antithetical to what it originally intended to be.

So either, we're all a bunch of paranoid fucktards who meant well but went off the deep end with most of our rhetoric in our subreddit, or; We live in a world where being 'Paranoid' is becoming the normal state due to extreme predatory behavior of people between eachother.
