The part of the wall concept she didn't grasp is: provided we exercise and don't fall for bad habits (drinking, smoking, drugs...) we'll look the same as we did when we were 25 until we're 55, wrinkles and gray hair being the only difference.

The only reason why he has those characteristics is due to him owning his own business and being in that relationship. Where I'm sure the free time he could be spending on hitting the weights, being happy, or making more capital. It's probably spent more on making sure his business stays afloat as well as hearing her complain 24 hours a day.

I'm sure if I had to work with any of my ex's it would demotivate me as well. I'm sure that I would be more stressed, have less energy, and accrue a multitude of health issues. They are life leeches, blood suckers, modern day vampires.

It's not like he couldn't change this if he wanted to but I'm sure the GF is more concerned about that next season of women empowerment on Netflix. And you better be sitting next to her.

There is a big difference between overall aesthetics and sex appeal. Men get to decide what's sexually appealing in women and women get to decide what's sexually appealing in men.

That's why women have a wall. The changes in appearance from age 25 to 35 are often quite subtle but they have a massive impact on how men perceive a woman's sex appeal. The wall exists mainly in men's subconscious minds but that doesn't make it any less real.

Women are often in denial about the wall because when they look at a 35 year old woman, they don't really appreciate how huge of an impact a few crow's feet or grey hairs have on male perception. The male sexual instinct has evolved to be super-sensitive to the early signs of aging so that we don't waste time and energy on women who are infertile or close to it.

Actually, most women will readily agree that the wall exists if you frame it in a way so as to be critical of men. If you emphasize that men are "fixated on youth," that usually does the trick.

A man's looks don't really matter though. It's more about success, money, power and the way we treat people rather than looks when it comes to being a man and attracting somebody. For women it's 90% about their looks and sex, and I don't think that's something guys have resigned women to, it seems like that's all women seem to think they're good for, very few ever work on their personality, most seem to think they can get by on rapidly fading looks and their magical vagina that every guy wants to be inside of. Maybe if women worked on their personality and other things in life like men do they wouldn't "hit the wall" quite so hard. I mean yeah, ya'll probably still gonna look like shit but at least you'd have some personality and charm to fall back on. Most women just don't do that.
