75 fashion decisions
So zero decisions of value or importance?
[–]hb8only1 point 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
like my female friend - always ask stupid questions what to dress.. it's 90% of her questions..
and 90% of her stupid time is wasted on instagram.. she is crazy.. just using her for getting to the parties...

Dilbert is an engineer; no wonder he has no wife.
Earlier here on MGTOW, somebody pointed out that women no longer want Engineers, no matter their pay.

Engineering was always a nerdy field. Women naturally don't get wet for nerds.
They never wanted engineers for anything other than their fat paycheck.

Wouldnt call myself chad the engineer lool but am decent looking non nerd aerospace guy. Wymmnz eyes glaze over when i try to explain why a plane can fly. Last gf left me for being unemployed a few months. Guess I was closer to bb than i thought .

Yeah, we all thought the ones we were with didn't see us that way, until they invariably gave us proof they did.

So.... Why can a plane fly?
[–]ififcanIhaveacoatplz 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Combination of thrust and shape of the airfoil (aka wing). The curvature of the airfoil is such that as air flows over it, it creates a negative pressure differential between top and bottom of the wing. Nature's means of trying to equalize said differential is to "push up" on the bottom of thr wing ergo "lift" ergo you are now flying. 😎✈✈

The daily Dilbert. Scott Adams is a legend.
[–]gods_bones4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Damn, when did Dilbert get an attitude? The strip is much more likable this way.

The comic is well worded. Making tons of pointless decisions really does drain your willpower. I'll use the game Neverwinter Nights as an example. As a PC exclusive game, the game's complexity is so absurd that it becomes difficult to enjoy the game for what it is. There are always an infinite number of "what if" statements about character build. Star Wars KOTOR is built with the same engine and basically the same D&D rules, but KOTOR is greatly simplified because it was also made for the original xbox. It feels less overwhelming when fewer options are available.
The great lesson here is that giving fewer choices tends to make people more confident in their choices. Having certainty that you've picked the best choice of 900 options is unlikely, but one can be certain they picked the best from only 5 options.

Scott Adams is surprisingly based, a lot of his tweets used to find their way onto The_Donald where he bashed leftwing politics, political, correctness, and SJWism. I haven't seen any in a while though, maybe he got bored or his publicist asked him to tone it down.
