Checking out guns at my local sports store and guy behind the counter turns out to be an ex cop. I was wondering what he was doing working there and turns out he’s retired. Said the day after he retired his wife left him. Took half his pension with her. Don’t know how many kids he had but he said it was quite a loss financially. Don’t know why they separated but he said during the last 5 years before retirement he worked a lot of overtime and didn’t spend much time with her. He said I should get a prenup no matter what. Funny thing is I live in a “no fault” state and my buddy who knows a lot of county judges says they automatically throw them out the window. I’m 25, and I love hearing stories like this that reaffirm my beliefs.
